The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

At Uncle Rufus...

I've heard a lot of people have CTDs with Lush Grass and Skymills + Skyfalls..try removing them, might help you out, I dont actually run with them at all.

BTW Matson and Uncle Petey, few quick screenies around the picturesque Riverwood, running Crossfire and amended the ENB ingame via shift+enter to get the brightness in check (spent 2 days figuring out the ambient and direct lighting settings, a right bake) but lighting is fine for me, no issues, maybe a tad bright but I like my sunny days bright. I'm using the Warmer sun from the Realvision install as well, makes the world just insanely beautiful, much nicer than the normal sun. As you can see, hanging at Vsyncd 60fps no problem at all. Although I did have a few captures that were around mid/low 50s, not going to lie and say it's totally locked all the time...but 95% of the time she is stuck at 60fps, not bad for over 200 mods :) who says AMD cards are naff lmao

I usualy install skyfalls after a water mod so i can choose what water fall i like. I think skyfalls over writes a few files i think from RW2. The DOF setting in skyrim prefs ini is the game engine one, its needed for in game stuff to work properly like Kill moves etc and can also make a enb underwater looking like your swimming in nothing ( not murky water)

I think you got 2 many flora mods going on tbh but i have not got the rig for it, i would recommend Verts and SkyRealism - Grass and maybe Unique Grasses and Groundcovers - Nature and Landscape Enhancement by Josh Ezzell as well i heard they work well together

And for anyone looking for more performance this mod Remove Underwater Grass and other stuff too - A Performance Mod looks like it is going places, gonna try it out later http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55240/? as i am always looking to get more out of my game. It seems like the game is rendering underwater stuff even though you cannot see it

Some nice screenshots tony, your guys look like they need a scrub in the tub, try using better males default ( dont have to see there man parts lol) and will make them look like they bath once a week :)

I like my ladys and gents to look nice as i use face to face conversations so i zoom right in when i talk to someone http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30533/?

it seems to be only these 2 characters that are dirty, but I think they are dirty in vanilla as well, think its just because of the forge

Thanks man, I tried your suggestions and changing the setting in the ini gets the underwater effects working... it also seems to have made some of the fog effects and things look even better too - which is great :D

I re-installed Skyfalls over the top of RWT and it didn't prompt me about overwriting so I assume that means last time I had the Skyfalls taking precedence anyway, I think it looks like it's fixed thought but will keep an eye out

I also ran the save cleaner thing and it said it removed 7 script instances or whatever, looking at the names it seems some were related to RealShelter which I had problems with before and uninstalled, so maybe that was the cause... Will head over to the problem area when I have a chance and see if I get crashes

Tony.. Could you list the exact steps you used to get your ENB like that including your brightness changes.. I'd appreciate it. Also is it real vision your using?

Yes it is mate, realvision for the win. You're not interested in the mods I'm using right? You just want realvision and enb steps with ccc profile steps and in game enb brightness curve settings etc correct? Will have to be tomorrow, just in bed now.

Yeah just those to see how they make mine look. I just had a go changing the brightness in the ENB from 1.00 down to 0.70 but it still looks extremely bright.

infact I just noticed anytime I click apply under the shift+enter settings it goes back up to 1.0?

never mind I just changed the settings in the actual enbseries.ini and they changed fine. I can manage to get the brightness down but the shadows are too dark. its like extreme brightness and extreme dark shadows at first... now iv lowered the brightness its better brightness but still extremely dark shadows.

Not as simple as that dude, gotta mess with cloud settings, sky settings, bloom, environment and a dozen others lol...like I said I spent 2 days fiddling, reading changing...it's a total bake but is possible as u can see.

Everytime I try to mod this game I end up going overboard and making it corrupt.

What would you say are the min (vital mods) for this that will make it look amazing but guarantee stability?

Watch this tutorial and follow steps exactly.
Make sure once mods are installed run BOSS to get the load order correct. Then use tes5edit to clean the dirty edits and finally wrye bash to build the patches for the plug ins that BOSS recommends needing a bash. Also very important download and install SSME which gives the game more memory to address. If you need, search for gopher on YouTube who has tutorial vids on tes5edit, bash and boss programs if needed

Once this is done you'll have a nice solid base to work from and will be super stable whilst looking much nicer than vanilla. So maybe 20 simple mods to start with.

Well when you have the time id love your settings to give them a try and see how they look. I cant imagine them looking any worse lol.

I'm sorry UltraDad but I agree with this... they look far too cutesy-poo for my liking as well, what's with the eyelashes and glittering sparkly eyes on the male characters? Right out of a Japanese cartoon show

p.s I just tried going to the brewery and didn't get any crashes :D so *touch wood* it's fixed!

Yeh looking at them again they abit to clean :D. Think my ENB was not right here they are again with this play through

And onto whats gonna be the mod of the year Familiar Faces by Verteiron http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54509/?. I just made my own follower Fira Balls :). Just goto the mod page and bask in its glory and endorse :D

I told vilja she sacked i can make me own sexy followers now :p

Still wanting those settings mate when you have the time.
Are they all Enbseries.ini settings?

Iv been messing around but still cant get it looking any good lol.

Annoyingly, I don't think mod organiser is pushing the ini file changes when loading the game up.

I messily copied and pasted my game files in one go from one drive to another, got Steam to verify the files and then just changed the directory location for the .exe files in MO...

Mods are certainly loaded, but I can't help but feel I might have fudged a few of them up after Steam verified the files.
