The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Skyrim Realistic Overhaul?
Other than the torrent sites as I don't have access with my broadband provider.

2k Texture pack link in my guide above, I'm sure they're similar/if not the same. :)

Is the guide useful to anyone so far? I don't want it to be a waste of time!

Hell yes :)

Just need to get my head around modding it again as I often spend longer doing that and sort out the mod order etc than I do playing it.

Then again the same often applies with Fallout and Fallout NV.

I have install the s.t.e.p. guide mods including e.n.b. and its bringing my system to its knees plus I personally think it looks terrible.
I have tried to replace it with fxaa injector (which is my preferred tool(I think it looks the best, plus you get better performance)), I have also tried sweetfx as well. Both of these crash to desktop as soon as I load a save in skyrim.
I have used these mods many times before so I am fully aware of how to install them. aa is off af is on 16. Skyrim will run ok with just enb removed.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing the ctd?

Just booted this game up again! Then I remembered why I stopped playing. The performance. When in an outside area it is literally 0.1 fps.

I'm I able to keep my saved game. Reinstall Skyrim, reinstall the mods and pick up from where I left off?

Because its been so long I don't remember what caused the problem.

Hummmm, I've uninstalled ENB series and it seems to be better. Whether this was the causing the original problem i do not know.

Its smooth for a short period then has a sudden fps dip to something like 1fps for a period and then sorts itself out again.

Still not really playable.

Re-install, it's blatantly a glitch ad unless you know which driver/mod causes it then you will never find the root.

How many texture mods do you have etc? Does it do it with graphics mods disabled?

That almost sounds like its running out of GPU memory and having to page things in and out of memory. I remember having similar issues in STALKER with mods at high res and settings in the old days on an old 4870 512MB, and it was simply running out of memory at points.

PS: I admit to just dropping in the thread and having seen a few posts so if I've missed stuff, apologies.

Follow my guide above, It's the most stable I've had my Skyrim.

I wouldn't be bothering with injectors, follow the ENB Realism guide for a stable ENB over others, I've tested the others to make sure the mods above are the best for compatability and installed in the best order then LOOT can do the final touches.

Cheers. 2K HD textures and W.A.T.E.R are the main two. I'll try uninstalling them. I already have the flora overhaul uninstalled. I did think about the GPU memory. I'll see if I can see how much is being used.

Cheers again. I'll have a look through. Looks very useful.

Do you still consider your list to be a work in progress or have you completed your additions and mods now...?

BTW I have tended to use the 0.7 versions of Loot....

It's almost complete, the performance, visual & recommended mods are there, the last ones are purely extra's. I will be putting the extras on the list then adding a .txt and spreadsheet with my exact boot order.

If I make any changes to config files/setting files then I will also include this in my guide also if I come across errors then I will also add that in the guide.

As it stands everything I have included work perfectly with each other & I am having no error's or performance related problems, which is why I wanted to create a step by step guide exactly as I went through and found problems so I could correct them and have a perfect guide.

So far the 0.6.0 version of LOOT has been OK for me, I would assume 0.7.0 would work just as well however I prefer a stable release to minimise all issues that could occur.
