The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Excellent results there ^^^^^

I will indeed look forward to your finished guide and also your posted Loot arranged load order.
Often I get a little messed up when adding a mod and unticking options when installing it to allow support for xxx mod, as I do not have it, and then much later finding and adding xxx mod and completely forgetting about the previous mod and the options to add support etc.
If that makes sense....!

Have you ever thought of the types of Mods like Skyrim Redone, and all of its patches etc...?

I think the inside of buildings look too dark with the lighting effect mods.

Wearable lanterns or conjure candlelight, I love the game being dark and errie as it should be! :D

110 mods added so far if I remember correctly, lots of textures.
Had an issue with Perfect Whiterun & Towns and Villages Enhanced so be weary of that, will be adding a error section to say which can cause problems together.

And regarding big patches like Skyrim Redone etc, I prefer induvidual mods because they're less dependencies if theres an update or you want to add another mod.

Also with MO which I thought was really handy it alerts you if you have ticked for certain mods to be patched/added with another and either are missing or not installed so you can download the extra mod or untick it from the load order.

I haven't found an ENB I liked staight out the box. Had to heavily tweak them all but I landed on a beauty last year (Quietcool ENB) and then personally tweaked the hell out of it.

For interiors you basically need to tweak the enbseries ini file settings.

Main ones to concentrate on to get interiors lighting if it's too dark/ too bright, and looking how you would like, are:

AmbientLightingIntensityInteriorDay=
AmbientLightingIntensityInteriorNight=

Along with settings in the [bloom] section

After loads, and loads of testing, I find Realistic Lighting Overhaul to be the best interior lighting mod running alongside ENB by a country mile too.

Ah dammit, I promised myself this time I installed Skyrim I would actually just play the game instead of spending more time fiddling with mods and then I go and find a thread like this, curse you! :D

I unistalled the 2K textures and all speed issues have been resolved. Its slight odd in that I had had these installed at one point with the game being totally playable.

I've just had a quick test using GPU-Z and the VRAM usage shoots up to 1.5GB (which is the capacity of my card) when in game with no texture MODs installed.

So the speed issues were resolved but the VRAM is still maxed out.

What other mods are you using?
I don't think VRAM is the issue to your problem.

What are you thinking Reaper?

I've just re-enabled the 2K textures and the laggy response has returned.

By the way don't use the Bethseda High Res textures, they are known to increase vram usage and cause problems such as stuttering and or lag. ( This goes to all ) I had to take them off on my 280X and I had plenty of VRAM to spare.

This is clearly explained in the op and hasn't changed

Yes boss! I'll try getting rid.

Edit: Noticeably better without the Hi Res Textures. Still got the 2K textures installed. Nice.

Yup, as Neil said the Bethesda textures are to be missed!
I make sure they're not installed. I max my VRAM @ 2024MB and get occasional stutter as to be expected.

On another note I found, I dropped SFO as I was getting clipping textures outside and the frames have got a lot better outside and SkyRealism - Grass has taken over for now if you're thinking of using SFO.

Weird having issues with clipping textures as I've never had that before with the 2 mods, might be a different load order this time, NMM was used last time.
