Any particular errors? is it all mods even texture ones or just the stuff that includes a custom dll?
Just crashed.
Disable Afterburner and D3DOverdrive.
I don't think I have either of these running?
Does this install them for you too?

Not sure what to make of it and I'll look into it further tomorrow, but would be interested if anyone else experiences this much smoother gameplay in Window mode.
Where should Skyrim.ini reside? Closest I could find was Skyrim_default.ini. Tried renaming it to Skyrim.ini but I'm not getting my FOV remembered.
Open Skyrim.ini, and search for [Display] section
I never thought of looking there. ThanksC:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Skyrim
Too many ctd's for me, gonna uninstall the shaders and see if that makes a difference, if it doesn't i shall put it back on as it looked great.
What is this i am reading about an update?
I never thought of looking there. Thanks
Should I also be editing the SkyrimPrefs.ini in the same directory not in Steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/Skyrim/ ?
disables the 4gb aware fix nearly everyone did on the exe...
seems someone wants to block people using it
if you previously used it all your new crashes will because steam changed your exe to a crappy one again
Not working for me. At least it's not too much bother changing it in the console each time.Just documents![]()
Open SkyrimPrefs.ini, and search for [General] section
Add fdefaultfov=XX at the end of the section. (where XX is the FOV value you want to change to). For example add fdefaultfov=90
Open Skyrim.ini, and search for [Display] section
Add fDefaultWorldFOV=XX (where XX is the FOV value you put in fdefaultfov)
Add fDefault1stPersonFOV=xx.0000 (where XX is the FOV value you put in fdefaultfov)
