The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

@TheReaperGuy

I'm back modding Skyrim after upgrading to a GTX970 G1 Gaming.

This part of your guide...

IMPORTANT: - Ensure you create skse.ini within the \Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE folder with the following parameters, this is a much needed memory patch for the game:

I didn't have a SKSE directory in the data directory. I created the folder and the ini file, and populated with the settings you provided.

That OK?

Starting to regret not have a intel CPU as i think thats whats letting me down :(, i cannot get my skyrim as pretty as everyone else without making my pc cry. But working with what i got its running ok and looking not bad using Seasons of Skyrim and trial and error :)

Do you have the files for your more 'colourful' version of serenity?
I like the colours the old ones produces like in your screenshots, however the up to date one is more vanilla?

I have uploaded it to my dropbox here

Ive taken loads of comparison shots between my tweaked Serenity 6 and the new vanilla Serenity 10, there in my dropbox too.

I'm still undecided, they both have their good points.

Enb10 looks best IMO. How do we manually install that with mod organiser?

ENB10 looks a lot cleaner and clearer but iin some places its a tad boring compared to the ENB 6. It lack some of the dramatic sky lighting effects which are hard to capture in screenshots.

That's it? Just drop them in there, no editing of ini files or anything else?

Will give them a go later.

Nope, the same happens when you install RV through MO.
MO loads the files you want (type of sun, type of DOF) in it's own directory and the RV_Launcher you run loads the ENB files into the Skyrim directory.

The manually installation skips the MO bit and you just manually place the files into the Skyrim directory yourself. Of course you need the ENBseries binary as well and then that uses the ENB files you've installed to tweak the settings.

EDIT: Serenity 6 looks great, sun is a little strong, but overall very good.

I'm also having an issue with things in the distance not loading so the landscape looks empty... not sure what I've changed to make it do that now as it was fine before.

I think I did up the adaptation somewhat so try lowering it to suit your needs. I do like the palette used in Serenity 10 but I wish he hadn't removed Adaptation altogether. I would like to add some, maybe not as much as I did in 6 but just some to get some nice dramatic lighting.

Also now I'm finding 10 very stutterey even when getting 60fps. I have just added a few mods from your guide so maybe Ive screwed something.

Also getting windows out of memory and skyrim closing. I'm monitoring it and I still have 2-3GB free. Got the SKSE mem patch ini too.

Ive remember why I haven't finished this game now, you spend more time tinkering than playing :p

Re-Running BOSS sorted the memory problems.

Ive decided im going to stick with Serenity 10 for now. But Ive altered a setting or 2 which makes it less washed out.

HI guys can any of you give me a quick list of mode that will not have a massive affect on frame rate but are essential to improve a game? Like better blood splatter, better mesh, better npc, and so on. Nothing lore breaking or really heavy as I can run it at 60fps all max and im willing to drop it to 45fps. Thanks:D
