The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Hmm Im wondering what to go with. That pure water mod appeals to me. As do the higher rez texture mods but i dont want to suddenly find im now lagging. Im using 1gig 5870s. Will i start to struggle and run out of VRAM? @ 1920x1200.

cant decide what combinations to go for. ATM im only use the injector mod thing. and some ini tweeks as posted on first page.

Should add im looking more for scenery changes etc. Character models are fine as they are, faces/eyes etc i fell no need to mod.

For what it is worth, the water and texture mods have not made any difference to me in FPS, it is shadows that really seem to affect FPS in this game, and as many textures were not great to start with i don't think the Highres ones are making much difference to FPS tbh. Also there are "light" versions of both mods which will lessen any performance reduction you might get.

I'm getting serious flickering in a perfect rectangle on the top right hand corner of my screen, I can see my desktop between the flickering like I've got an active program running in the background. I've turned V-sync off in the config but it hasn't helped. Any ideas?

I quite liked the dark look. But will try the one you linked first :p I just been reading the comments on the one I linked and it doesnt sound too good.

just look at the before and after gifs on the page

this one gets rid of the over brightness while keeping the colours and you can clearly see all the extra details coming out on every texture it looks fantastic ingame and not cartoony/wierd like all the others, it didnt effect my fps at all either and i only have a crappy low/mid range gfx card

Yeah, that's the one I linked to.

Found it by accident on the Skyrim Nexus website, it was buried among dozens of other configs in the Latest Files.

I can't believe it's not popular since it's probably the most realistic looking FXAA Injector config on that website.

I am still using the first injector which appeared. Not had any problem with it. I might try that other one though.

I do have a problem which i could appreciate if someone could check for me, it has happened with 3 of the injector mods i have used and it is kind of offputting. Basically when standing still and not moving the camera, it appears that the effects are not applied, but whenever you move the camera suddenly it is much more colourful and sharper etc. It is like the effects added only work when the camera moves(even slightly)

Does this happen for anyone else?

btw it probably isn't that popular because comments and discussion have been disabled, i wonder why?

yea ive linked it about 10 times in here :P

the first fxaa mod i tried and easily the most realistic

Yep, i have just switched to it, easily the best.

I don't want to cheat to change the carry weight, biut it is getting a little annoying killing dragons but not having any space to carry bones and scales/.

Keeps making mine crash to desktop, so I had to stop using it :( Shame, because since removing it, its like someones smeared the screen in vaseline!

I messaged the uploader about it, hopefully he will open that mod for discussion.

Will try to replicate your issue now, can't remember seeing it at any time though.

For some reason none of the mods work for me now.

Does anybody know what could cause that issue?

I can run the game just fine but no esp files to choose in Data Files, the FXAA Injector doesn't load, none of the Interface mods do either.

EDIT: found the nature of the problem and not one that I would expect. For some reason Skyrim has redownloaded itself to my main drive where Steam is, ignoring the fact that I already have a copy on my SSD...

Not sure what is wrong there, i only have one esp and that is the fletching one. I didn't even know there were any other plugins.

Could it be a problems with that Nexus Mod Manager? I don't use it myself as it isn't really needed atm imo but i am hearing of people having problems with it.

Nope, I don't use NMM any more.

The game reinstalled itself after I've deleted all mods and installed them again. It ignored the fact that I already had it on my SSD with all the files I needed. :p
