^^ Not a huge fan of them completely replacing textures e.g. the dirt roads.

Looks like you have some followers in the comments lol

@those complaining about the replacements: Honestly the new replacements are closer to what the architecture of Skyrim should be. Skyrim architecture is supposed to be based in Nordic (Viking) Mythology and in the time period yet I see things in the original that are out of place, like the cobblestone roads...those didn't pop up until at the earliest the Romans. Don't get me wrong Bethesda did a good job overall and I appreciate their efforts but this set of textures is by and far the best so far.

Something maybe to add to the console section. Typing "tm" (without the quotes) toggles the HUD. Once the hud is off you can't see the console anymore, so just carefully type tm and hit enter again and it will reappear.

Good for screenshots :)

Wait a second, is he saying that the Romans succeeded Vikings?

Anyway, I stand by this guide, he clearly understands what looks best in Skyrim (with the exception for a few mods).

Well I checked the two pics in that guide and to be honest looks awful, it looks as if someone has put high pass sharpen and over sharpen through it and said yep that looks good.

Who cares about the pictures, skip those bits and go to section 4 - Mods.

That ENB config he's using is also pretty good looking, you need to choose the right version though and I don't use ENB since it lowers my fps significantly (I'm not using FXAA Injector either).

That and TFC are the most useful I've found, TFC is Toggle Free Camera.

Just trying this- HD mountains and rocks New textures. Looks good from the screenshots
Just been playing with this, looks much better imo and no fps loss as well. I didn't get round to trying any of the other rocks/mountain ones though

Also the HD Khajhit one is great:)

^^ I think i am happy enough with the lighting/shaders etc so i will leave it as it is for now in terms of those, it looks good though. I will just install the texture mods from now on.

edit- it is raining now so i have the thunder going as well, it is great!
