I have read the first page, it is a bit messy, may I know what SKSE is for?

It allows much more functionality for mods (extra commands and the like - it's a "Script Extender"). To use it you'll have to launch the SKSE Launcher rather than Skyrim via Steam (don't worry, you can still use the Steam Overlay and get achievements etc).

Only if they require it (eg: SkyUI) - it really isn't an issue, and I'd recommend SkyUI anyways if you're using Mouse+KB.

i didn't use it. I just installed the manager. Really simple to use and makes a real difference to the games.

Does anybody know of any tweaks to solve crashing on the map?

The map is ridiculously unstable, crashes to desktop sometimes or the screen flickers and the game starts working again, I've read something to do with the maximum RAM usage of the game?

You either have an AMD card or you alt-tab a lot. The map isn't inherently unstable. If you're not alt-tabbing like a trooper then it's something driver/video setting wise that's doing it.

Yep, can confirm that the only time my map crashes is when i alt +tab a lot

Mine eventually crashes when alt tabbing. You would have thought hat developers would support that sorta thing. Its so useful, especially in games like Skyrim.

mines exactly the same, its a real pain to have to close it to check a wiki or whatever.

I "shift + tab" first to get steam up then "alt + tab" to desktop.
Haven't crashed yet.

Put the Beauty Faces for females mod on and it looks good apart from there are some weird jagged shadows under her eyes. Not sure if it was like that before as I am in first person mode 99% of the time .

Just need a hair mod now and daedric armor mod as I didn't notice how low res it was until now.

Which mod is that, I can't see it in the first page.
