The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered - MODS & TWEAKS

I'm running 45+ mods with ENB and reshade and getting constant 60FPS (Capped) almost all of the time. I'd be around 40FPS and stuttery on the previous version

Same here, lowest I've seen it drop is about 58fps!

But I too am running lots of mods, increased grass, tree overhauls, weather - Reshade.

Not using ENB, don't see the need for it now

OK, seems positive. I'll fire it up and see if I can get it decent on Vanilla, and if not I'll pop in for advice.

Neil, I only intend to do a light modding version with the essentials like bug fixes and UI improvements, plus the necessary texture upgrades. If I get to a place I'm happy with, I'll do a little "Modding Lite" guide and post it here for you to add to the OP if you think it's worthwhile.

I would very much like to play Skyrim again, but unfortunately a few mods I consider a must aren't available for SSE so far as I can tell.

Timing Is Everything
Convenient Horses

Both of these require SKSE which isn't available for SSE yet and probably won't be for a long time. You can try extracting the BSA as loose files which might work but you won't be able to configure them

Do any mods for the normal game just work with this or not?

Cheers

Though they may load up ok they ought to be run through the new CK first as things have changed which may lead to issues later

Nexus is currently up the **** , servers down etc

Feels like a DDOS

Believe it or not its people wanting mods for SSE demand has been insane lord knows why its exactly the same game with some barely there god rays and depth of field and a lot of textures where someone has gone nuts with the sharpen tool

Spoke too soon regarding FPS. In dungeons and 'normal' areas, I get 55+. I was walking through the woods at night and my FPS was plummeting to 20 at times. Got to say - feeling like the 980Ti last black friday was a pointless buy! I bought it thinking I could through anything Skyrim related at it. I'm running at 1440p, downsampled to 1080p. Might drop it back down again. Real shame though as I really want a a 1440p GSsync super wide next yaar...

It's the fact that it's 64bit IMO. It should (and does) run a lot better.

According to behippo, one of the SKSE team....

Once we get the appropriate hooks done in SKSE64 we'll make sure that SkyUI and MCM get completed. We are in regular contact with the SkyUI developers. Between the two teams we'll get it done.

Not sure who is still on the SkyUI team as Schlangster, the project lead and main programmer, was a big proponent of the "paid mods" fiasco and pretty much quit modding as a result of all the fallout. Hopefully he's back modding again.

Hi all,

There's a strange motion blur when I look around. For example at night the house lights in windows go darker when I'm looking around then when I stop they go lighter.

The light/dark textures is very noticeable on finer detailed objects such as fences and the straw on house roofs.

It's only when my character looks around. moving forward and backwards doesn't effect it. Interestingly in loading screens rotating the objects doesn't cause this blurring.

I've turned off depth of field - no effect
Turned off AA and forced via control panel (Nvidia) - no effect
Downloaded ReShade and ENB - no effect
Added - bUseBlurShader=0 to SkyrimPref folders - no effect

Can anyone offer some advice please as it's ruining the game for me. I've taken screenshots but it doesn't replicate the effect. It stutters momentarily when taking the shot and this freezing removes the lighting issue.

Ed

PS using a Z35 monitor so had to do some tweaking to avoid the physics and other multiple issues from running the game over 60 FPS

I complained of the same thing last week. could only put it down to a problem with Nvidia drivers not the game.. seems to be a ghosting issue with high refresh rate displays. went back to some drivers from beginning of October and it went away. also noticeable in windows.

Also using a Z35 monitor. is it like the edges of textures change when you move left and right? most noticeable on the wooden post inside dragons reach when looking towards the front door.

I've loaded the game up and I'm getting some issues:

  • FPS is 40fps. - Fixed
  • The display is cut off at the bottom when in the inventory overlay. - Fixed
  • SLI not working (currently maxing out a single card)

Any suggestions for fixes?

Basic lite modding guide (work in progress):

  • Applied instructions at the start of the guide in OP about NCP and FOV
  • I've done the suggested ini tweaks.
  • I've changed res to 3440*1440 in skyrimprefs.ini
  • Fix for Gsync judder / Low FPS: ALT+TAB out then back in
  • Disabled God Rays

Update:

Massive step forward for me... ALT+TAB in and out is fixing the FPS issue.
So, outstanding issues are:

  • The display is cut off at the bottom when in the inventory overlay.
  • SLI not working (currently maxing out a single card)

Back
Top Bottom
