The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered - MODS & TWEAKS

Is there any way to change the FOV? The ini tweak doesn't seem to change anything?

press the tide key ( ` ) top left hand corner and type in FOV 105 or FOV 100, then press enter and ( ` ) again. Save your game :p

Sometimes though the FOV resets when using the inventory, just do it again

Oh and 205 is WAY WAY too high for the game

The tilde key isn't changing anything. When I enter a value it just zooms really close and then won't make any other changes no matter what I enter.

And I set to 205 as I knew it would be distorted and then I would know it was changing the fov, I was using that value to test in other words.

I must have another fov setting overriding everything else.

Which is a real shame because IMO, all of the immersion is spoiled when you halfway up the 5000 steps, and you look out to see a shimmering, crappy river and a hard edge where the grass stops etc. I wish they'd taken more features from the FO4 engine, especially the wet surfaces etc.

Can't forget that the 7,000 steps as they call it is more like 100. Falls under the same category as their hamlet sized 'cities' too.

I've never counted, but there is way more than one hundred steps* its really is quite a climb. Cities are more like villages though.

*someone please count them :D

I seem to recall the 5000 actually was 5000, but I get Omaeka's point - everything in Skyrim is kind of small. The Throat of the World mountain is barely a hill, and all the major cities are barely small towns.

Installed some mods and my framerate is all over the place. Looks like the 3.5gb vram on my 970 doesnt cut it any more :(.

Ive got it looking pretty good, but not that much better then the original skyrim to warrant the poor performace, so think I might just continue my skyrim playthrough. Also my character looks FAR better on the original.

I'd check your whole ini file for duplicates. Maybe there's an upper limit?

I got it working. The ini tweaks don't work, but the tilde key does and it sticks without having to redo on each play.

I was inputting (didn't work) :

I should have been putting:
