The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered - MODS & TWEAKS

Update:

Massive step forward for me... ALT+TAB in and out is fixing the FPS issue.
So, outstanding issues are:

  • The display is cut off at the bottom when in the inventory overlay.
  • SLI not working (currently maxing out a single card)

The display being cut off is a game issue whereby the menu files are not designed for 21:9

There is a fix on nexus that replaces the inventory to work with ultra widescreen

Sunk a couple of hours in and it's actually looking really good. I still see a little bit of judder/tracers in dungeons so I'll need to persevere with a fix for that, but all in all I'm quite enjoying it again. I'm getting between 80-100 fps in most areas, with no bugs that I've noticed.

I'd love to see a SLI profile released soon.

not tried the special edition yet as my current rig doesnt like it, but have put well over 60 hours in the standard version, but interested in knowing what the draw distance is like in the new version, its the one thing i don't like about the standard version constant pop in and the ugliest textures on anything far away.

Still like that I'm afraid. One of my pet hates too!

Any mods that will allow me to scrap items down? I severly miss this feature from Fallout4. I see that there are a few recycling mods but they are sadly not compatible with Immersive Armors.

Ars Metallica - Smithing Enhancement by Arthmoor

I use both this and immersive armours.
It does work with the extra armour sets added, and makes it much easier to get advanced crafting mats.

be warned though, just like the house building stuff added with Hearthfire. It makes it very easy to level blacksmithing.

I have them both installed. I can't see to see how to break things down though? I can only break weapons down, and only some. Perhaps I have Ars too high in the load order?

On another note, Skyrim really shows its age in inclement weather. Not having shiney wet surfaces during a rain shower/storm is REALLY dated.

Not changed much because cell loading distance has not changed as far as I know.

Which is a real shame because IMO, all of the immersion is spoiled when you halfway up the 5000 steps, and you look out to see a shimmering, crappy river and a hard edge where the grass stops etc. I wish they'd taken more features from the FO4 engine, especially the wet surfaces etc.

Just reinstalled with the Real Vision ENB and all recommended mods.

You sort of forget how semi ambitious it was for 2011 what with the random Dragon spawns and the sheer scale of the world itself. It's just a shame the main story is so poor. So much of everything else is superb.

Realvision with SE?

Nahhh. I was halfway through installing the mods when I realised I could have upgraded for free xD

Did I miss out? Is RealVision compatible with the newer version?

It doesn't look massively different out of the box: mainly GodRays, DoF etc. The biggest thing is the 64bit engine so it supports lots of mods better than the original.
