I'm certainly not expecting and never expected things to change, I've been clear from day one, the players are the problem. I have also said that his style is uncommon in the league, has anyone ever won it with this formation

I don't know, I think the club is screwed for the foreseeable. I'm also no expert on football, those guys are, apparently.

I'm just not sure Jim will put up with the losses for too long.

You get rid of them. You don't get rid of them when you pluck them mid-season, agree they play their brand of football no matter what and don't buy them any players.

He probably shouldn't have been hired because it was such a risky appointment. Not necessarily issues with him but we are supposed to be operating with a more modern approach and structure where the manager is replaceable and your squad largely doesn't require expensive rebuilds whenever you sack them. We've lurched from manager to manager with no real overarching direction for over a decade. That is in theory changing but if we do back Amorim I don't know who else would be on the table to replace him.

Fair enough. I actually like that they’re going all in on trying something new, and again, it’s been acknowledged it’s going to be pretty tough for the foreseeable. I also was glad they didn’t just panic buy in the window and repeat the same old behaviours.

However, if they don’t back him in the summer or they get rid of him, then I truly will just throw in the towel for a while. It will really beggar belief.

He would have loved to get the players he wanted in January for sure. What he said was that he didn't want players for the sake of players. He wants the right players or there is no point. We have enough sub-par players, we don't need to add more.

He has said that he is happy to wait until the summer.

I have already told my mate if he wants to go on some European away days with Forest next season to give me a shout. :D.

As fez said though, if his style doesn't work then the club will need yet another rebuild? That's a lot of risk.

I don't think United have much of a war chest in the summer...

But so will just doing the same old same old and expecting a different result, first sign of madness and all that.
