The end of laughter and soft lies (Bumper Easter Weekend Footy Spoilers)

I think Man.U. will be the biggest spenders next season, their new owners are desperate for success & need to see a future to their investment:)

We're not any old investment, we're a 'franchise', the very words our new owners used to describe the football club they bought.

I know, it was part of my sig up 'til the other day - "We are enjoying it greatly. It's a wonderful franchise and we just love it." very worrying...

Indeed, it is a little worrying, although they will want to make the club as successful as possible to make money from our 'franchise' ;)

franchise just reminds me of burgers....LOL

lol, Welcome to MUFC, would you like fries with that? :p

hmmm.. just watched motd.. dont know why, i feel a bit sad... will probably get tortured off people here.

But being 19, ever since i really knew a lot about football (1994) ive supported newcastle, id say thats since 1994 realistically (but ill pretend its been since i was born 1986) but basically shearer has been the main player ive known (been alive) for while supporting the club, now that i've probably seen the last of shearer i feel a bit sad.

Am sure people must understand me....i dont know if ive explained what i mean fully :p.. nevermind.. ill await the bashing

Not at all, I felt and still do feel the same way about Roy Keane, he was my favourite player since he joined Man Utd, I was 12 when he joined us, when his playing days were up at Old Trafford I was devastated, something I can't forgive happening. It would be a real shame if Shearer never kicked a ball for Newcastle again and this is coming from someone who doesn't like him, but as a footballer I respect him. :)

Soccer club. They're owned by some half-witted americans now. ;) :p

United need to make some big signings in the summer in the midfield area. Im tipping Diarra.
Chelsea will be buying Adriano. Seeing as they've wanted him for a while.
And he's fallen out with half the Inter squad, and has critisised the Inter 'fans'. I use the term 'fans' lightly however.

Unfortunatelly the Alex have left it too late. :(
I'd imagine that we'd be shooting strait back up after a season. Hopefully.
Its a shame really. Just after we've gotten rid of our scoring problems, we have defensive problems. If its not one thing its another!.
Im willing to bet that half the little scroats around Crewe will be calling for Dario's head. Even if said scroats arnt true supporters and only use the game as an excuse to go and get lashed down the pubs after each game. :o

"1515: Teddy Sheringham looks to take a leaf out of the Didier Drogba handbook of goal-scoring by using his hand to fashion space before firing a shot narrowly wide."

Bit of a catty comment from the "bias free" BBC.

The minute by minute 'live' accounts of individual games are dull as ditch water, but the minute by minute linky for all Prem games being played is always full of stuff like that :D
The 'bias free' jibe is pointless, cos whoever writes them rips into everyone and anyone - so as bias free as you can get :)

I was wondering what the chelsea fans think of essien? After watching him this season, he appears to do nothing through the game. I know he scored a decent goal yesterday, but for the majority of the time he appears to do nowt.

What a day yesterday. :D

All was going great until the bus window went out on the way there then the day just got worse.
Hearded into the ground 1 hour before kick off , sold out of beer by 2:10 and a first half display as bad as I have ever seen.
The second half started a little better then 15 seconds after the introduction of Rocky Chopra the game was flipped on its head and there was only going to be one winner.
Bit bizzare really as we looked buried and sunlun were bossing the game but the goal just killed their confidence and we strolled the rest.
Goal 206 for the Lion in his last derby game and to give us the lead was well recieved by the newcastle fans behind that goal.
Some generous applause and one or two shouts of "well done sir" , all very civil.
The great man is going for a scan in the next few days to see if his season is over.

All in all an amazing day that couldnt have been much better , although it was freezing on the way home.

Kate Aidie , Steve Cram , Brian Marwood , Nial Quinn , Louise Taylor , Lottery winning rapist , Billy Hardy , the Ripper Hoaxer and Oliver Cromwell.
Can you hear me Oliver Cromwell , your boys took one hell of a beating.

At the start of the season he looked very impressive, covering a lot of ground, making good tough challenges with decent distribution too. Since the media hounded him for those 2 nasty tackles he made he seems reluctant to get involved as much. He's good alright, but he's got to play a bit smarter now I think:)

LOL. i might get a newcastle shirt with Shearer 206 on the back... providing he scores no more goals... Just as a mark of respect, for the first true great ive supported in my football life
