The end of laughter and soft lies (Bumper Easter Weekend Footy Spoilers)

Good result fo us Wednesday fans today, beat Brighton 2-0. Sending down Millwall, Brighton and Crewe all at the same time, meaning we play in the Championship again next season. :D

One extremely happy and relieved Owls fan.

It's suspected Shearer has done in his medial ligaments, his season and career is probably over :(

Not a bad way to go out though.

Thats the first time in my life Ive left a match early. Was so close to leaving at 1-3, the fourth just rubbed salt in the wound and I had to leave.

The worst thing about it was that Newcastle werent any good, we just hit the sefl destruct button 4 times. Absolute madness. I really dont have a clue what happened.

So Chelsea can win the title against man u, how funny would that be. :D
Hilarious, the Man.U. players really seemed to enjoy the Guard of Honour they gave us last year, I bet they'll be practicising it in training now just in case they have to do it again:)

Somehow we are still in with a shot of the playoffs after coming from 1-0 down to beat Oldham, what a strange turnaround after being firmly rooted to the bottom of League 1 not that long ago, especially as the team in reach appear to be trying to throw it away.
Forest move into a playoff spot today with Swansea loosing, if both of us somehow manage to scrape in after our dismal starts then it would be one hell of an achievement.
Stupid Brentford should be up by now too. 7 points from their last 8 games, drawing their last 4, and they're still only 7 points off top. They will end up in the play offs & go out.

If he's "dirty" then what is everyone else? The "dirtiest" Newcastle player IMO is Bowyer.
Aye, he's so dirty he doesn't play for them;)

In this league god knows where anyone will end up, if us and forest scrape the playoffs then i'd say it would likely be a city v Forest final because as it stads we are the two from teams in this division, if it wasn't for our crap start we would be right up there, as we have hit championship form over the last couple of months.

Assuming we don't make it (which we shouldn't, 6 points behind with only 9 to play for and our poor GD shoul see Forest and barnsley safe) i'd go for Forest to win the playoffs as they are definatley the form team of the top 6 at the moment.

I don't think I would cry if they did tbh, I think something like that will push our players more next season then any words could.

i think next season man utd will win the title.... am sure they will feel that they can keep up with chelsea given their run for the last however many games.

Chelsea will find it harder next season as man utd and arsenal will be much better

I can't see City making it either I'm afraid & you're right about the form teams winning the play offs in Div.1 too. Brentford came 3rd a few yrs ago & lost out to Huddersfield who came 6th with a late run of form. At the moment none of the top 5 are playing well at all.

That was said a lot at the end of last season funnily enough. This season has been harder for Chelsea, but I don't think that was down to the competition, just mistakes made on & off the pitch which put unnecessary pressure on the team:)
