They probably need a rest. Their last home series was in April, since then they've been to Pakistan, Dubai and now England. Then off to the world cup in India where they face England again in their first game

Utterly abysmal. It is utterly obvious the ECB want ODIs to end. The prep for this WC made no sense with games tagged onto the end of the Ashes, Roy removed for some reason and a team with injuries and bad form.
