Why mouth off? And yes because of his age. What's wrong with you?

Its the internet been on it since 1997 so, I can say what I like so long as no offence has been taken.

I admire and take my hat of to someone at 91 whacking the keyboard to the internet. But if you big enough to post you big enough to take the flack. ;)

Jesus the amount of flack I take at 43 is horrendous! :D

Having had a chat with a few asset managers today, if Brexit does go ahead, there's going to be some serious losses.

Consensus is thoroughly that Britain is going to stay in, even though most of them were in favour of leaving.

I read a very interesting article today, and would be intrigued to hear some "remain" individuals give their opinion on the article.

Ah the old lie of unelected officials making our laws. I was wondering when that would come up again.

See I didn't read it purely as that. Eg:

The most recent example was last week when the ECJ determined that it was, after all, lawful for Britain to restrict EU migrants’ access to benefits. The problem here is not whether the ECJ’s decision was right or wrong, but rather that the UK had to secure its approval in the first place. Why should European judges have the final word on how UK taxpayers’ money is used?

Is there a disconnect between the EU as an institution and countries? Are we going to go down a centralised route eventually or will individual nations retain the final say?

I have a feeling leave will be more dedicated to get to the poll booth. Obviously polls have 100% turnout as they are on the end of a phone, online vote. But actually going to the place to vote. I reckon leave may get a few percentage on this alone.

Law-making

There are 3 main institutions involved in EU legislation:
•the European Parliament, which represents the EU’s citizens and is directly elected by them;
•the Council of the European Union, which represents the governments of the individual member countries. The Presidency of the Council is shared by the member states on a rotating basis.
the European Commission, which represents the interests of the Union as a whole.

^^ We do not elect or have any choice whatsoever of the above commissionaires.

Why I picked red on blue, I cannot even read it.... lol

What does that have to do with us being in or out of the EU?

The reason they are sat in Calais and frustrated about not being able to get here is because we are not letting them in as they aren't EU citizens.

Nothing at all I assume, but the paper seems to think the migrants are worried about extra border controls if we leave.Someone should really tell them nothing would change as they are not allowed in anyway.

Why is the EU governence set up so complicated with that many different comisions/councils/plarliments all doing differnt things.

Why not just a parliment that proposes and passes laws like most countries use

Well this is badly timed. I thought this wasn't a problem anymore as it had all gone quiet. At least most of the press are not reporting it though so at least that's something...

Oh, so withholding how major motorway and road networks were in lock down due to EU based economic migrants rioting and targeting British cars and trucks with missiles is something best kept a secret from the voting British public is it? Riot police injured, tear gas fired, families terrified, a loss of control of the migrants and No Borders supporters allegedly orchestrating a day time riot and attempt to breach border control is not something you think the voting plebs should know about?

Let the voters decide its relevance to the referendum please...

Now now, we need to pretend it's not happening until next week.

probably be easier for them if we left
France has more patrol boats in the channel than we do.

Perhaps you could tell us how it's relevant. These people will still be there after Brexit, still trying to illegally enter the UK. Many people wrongly believe that not being in the EU would stop this, it's nonsense it really is.

Because leaving the EU is a necessary first step to leaving the EEA, and then we can be away from the craziness of the ECHR stopping us kicking the scum out that enter here with criminal history, criminal intent, or committing crime. The defence to being here as undesirables is so often based on ECHR appeals.

But the ECHR is completely unrelated and unattached to the EU. The EU as a body is not bound by ECHR rulings.
