I know the pro-EU crowd get offended by linking to any media outlet that supports Leave, but I thought this opinion piece by James Delingpole was excellent. I could quote so much of it but I'll leave it with a simple quote:

I’m proud to be in the company of Labour MPs like Kate Hoey and Gisela Stuart and, of lefty rabble rousers like the turbulent priest Giles Fraser because they feel as passionately as we Ukippers and Conservatives do that democracy is all that prevents powerful elites trampling all over us.

It's not an election, therefore its not subject to the same scrutiny.

As far as I am aware, there are no laws requiring any campaign material for any vote to be factually accurate. The ASA has previously refused to make any judgement on election materials.

You can literally say the EU are killing your children or that leaving the EU we'd have to sink wales into the ocean (wouldnt mind tbh).

It wont be scrutinised by any regulator.

World War 3 starts November 2016 with Donald Trump.

This EU market blip will probably look laughable compared to that mountain of mayhem that will cause if speculation is to be believed.

I don't know, but it seems rediclous that such statments can be put in election materials without any facts or rigour behind them.

A lot of leave materials misrepresent or put facts in the wrong context, that's one thing, but outright lies are another.

There is nothing to suggest that the monarchy is under threat, other than scorza's unfounded opinions.

Both sides do it and Cameron is the worst of the bunch.
The monarchy is under threat. Once the EU becomes a federal state like the US. The royal family will be gone.

And before you say "it will never happen"
When the EU was called the common market everyone said the EU won't happen. But here we are.
It will end up like the US, one government in charge of all. But this won't happen if we leave.

A vote for a leave is a vote for change!

Oh rellyyyyy... You know what you're right.... I love my wife and kids, they're ok, but they're a tie..... i cant do what i want to do anymore! So sometimes I think change would be good.... Ya know what, Sod it, its all about me in this life.... in the bin with the wife and the kids, I've heard tinder guarantee you a bird when you want, no strings attached...

Nawwwwwwwwwwwtttt..... il stick to what works for me ta. For the past 6 years my wife and I have been through redundancy as a result of Austerity + pay ***** and pay freezes....

As of now, i have a new careers and better wages after working hard to win an interview (my old colleagues and friends lost and are now redundant). I can put food on the table, keep the roof over our head and give my kids a good life!

Why on earth would i risk giving this up on an empty promise from a scum bag party who have no brexit plan or any control over public finances!

THANKS.... But no thanks.

IN!!!!

A “fed up” man has taken out a full page ad in the Metro to make a point about the EU Referendum

I think people getting irritated that you rss post a heavily biased source.

There's nothing to suggest that the monarchy is under threat, until the monarchy is under threat by which time it'll probably be too late. Voting for the EU in this referendum is not voting for the status quo, we know the EU will continue to change and it's perfectly valid to make judgements about what the outcomes of those changes will be.
More scare mongering from project fear.

You've got to love the irony of Michael Gove using protection of the NHS as a yardstick by which to measure leaving the EU....whilst co-authoring the book on dismantling and privatising the NHS.

Does it matter where the blame lays? If the infrastructure can't cope then it can't cope. Besides, immigration should be a tiny issue in the mind of anyone voting Leave; it's not quite irrelevant, but it pretty much should be.

*gets back on the fence and muses*

However when polled, didn't something like 70% of leave voters say their main reason for voting out was immigration?

Virtually everyone i've spoken to on the leave side in my place of work immediately cites immigration as the reason to "get out".

Did you know that before that, in 2008 there was a banking crisis and the global economy crashed? As a result, many Western governments borrowed massively to stabilize their economies. Do you think that had anything to do with the need to limit public spending? Or, do you think cash grows on trees?
And now the bankers are saying stay in the EU, and you are following their advice?

Immigration has become the scapegoat unfortunately. :(
