WERE it's WERE, you say was in this context so often, *sigh*, if you don't want to come across as a total thicket it would help if you got to grasp with the basics of your own language.

Also it's "Some countries would have shot the lot" - Now write this out 100 times and if it's not done before sunrise, I'll cut your balls off

Can you ban duese and his border line racist comments in the new thread? ;)
Unless it's actually racist then why bother? Things can appear 'racist' when people have a big sensitivity to such subjects but when discussing immigration then some will like it and some won't and it's not racist either way. Just like there are economic arguments there can be other reasons to like or dislike immigration and I've regularly stated that I think immigration can work and is good but mass immigration is bad (i.e. the failures we're having at the moment with bad integration, poor screening processes bringing in several economic migrants and jihadi's, riots in several areas, the increase in racism such as the sons of odin and germanies racism coming back due to bad integration / over migration, clumping many migrants in single areas has always shown to have negative consequences in regards to community cohesion etc.) but does having anything bad to say about immigration make you racist?

And you can't blame some for disliking the current set of migrants as we've actually seen plenty of reports of rapes / violence / gang activity so to doubt they're the cream of the crop or a worthwhile bunch is hardly unrealistic. Still I've listed a few reasons why people don't like it but I'm sure if we keep screaming the words economics and racist then the argument will go down the pan some more (from both sides).

Side note, glad to hear about the new poll, should be quite interesting to see changes over time.

Good old BBC focussing purely on the number of children affected by tear gas for the sympathy vote.

What responsible parent would put their child in direct harm by being involved in a riot on the border. Which is exactly what it was. Make shift battering ram to break the border gate. Yea lets put our young children right in the middle of this. Idiots.

What use are borders if control is not enforced?

How the hell are people from Iraq and Afghanistan able to seek asylum. Did we not just fight for years so they would be "free" ?

It's quite funny really. That's all the immigrants have to do. Join a force of a hundred plus strong and just march to where they want to go. Like what are the police actually going to do? Start shooting these insanely desperate fellow human beings?

Borders are dumb. They only exist so the people at the top find it easier to maintain their power.

Stand your ground laws don't allow you to just kill anyone that's on your land though

Yes it does.
"In the United States, stand-your-ground law states that an individual has no duty to retreat from any place they have lawful right to be and may use any level of force, including lethal, if they reasonably believe they face an imminent and immediate threat of serious bodily harm or death."

Oh it's you again...should have known ;)

"Alexis Tsipras, the Greek Prime Minister, has threatened to block EU legislation, including David Cameron’s “reform deal”, unless other member states accept more migrants"

It's hit the fan time.
