What is it they say, ignorance is bliss?

One moment if we pull out of Europe we are capable (as a strong nation) of making trade deals with the rest of the world, that won't Risk our current world trade, but if we stay in the EU we're as influential as a parish council.

It's not a saying, but Bias is Bias!

And speculative nonsense is just nonsense.

Just the sort of thing the Europe fanatics would say, are you suggesting the "ever closer union" edict is a myth.

Your basing your vote now based on what might happen on the far future?

We're being asked of we want the UK to stay in the EU. Not of we want to stay in the EU until the end of time.

Are you really suggesting that we will have another referendum in a few years time when everything has gone **** up because that is absolutely not going to happen.

We vote IN and we're IN period not just IN for a bit longer.

You might have noticed the EU only forces countries to vote again when they vote the WRONG way.

Well the last vote was for the common market and look where that ended up...

I'm pro EU because I'm pro Britain.

You left the Great of it. Unless you intentionally left it off because we will lose the 'Great' if we become part of Angela Merkels Europe.....

Germany didn't conquer Europe after 2 world wars but they're succeeding now....

Godwinned

I'm saying a referendum on if we should stay in or out of the EU, is about the EU as it stands, not some crackpot future version those with an out agenda make up in their heads!

No it isn't, there's no option to stay in the EU as it stands now. Ever closer union is a founding feature of the EU and if we stay in we will be assimilated too. Even now with the threat of Brexit France and Germany are drawing up plans for a European finance ministry. Face it, if we Remain then we will transfer more of our sovereignty to Brussels, no European Commissioners would deny this so I can't see how you could.

The EU is clearly not good value for money. We seem to be one of 2-3 nations propping the whole thing up financially. If I joined a club and had to pay for 90% of the other members and had no say in who runs it. It's a pretty ****** club no matter what they promise in return.

I think the "union" has got close enough for my liking.

It's only been 41 years since the last referendum and the EU didn't even exist the last time. You really think they'll let us have another one in another 40 years? No, this is it - our one and only chance for independence. If we remain then it really is the end of the UK as a sovereign nation

"Let us" ... They can't force us to stay on the EU, how on earth would they do that

They can't force us. But they can do stuff like make the question as confusing as possible (in hope of getting people to vote stay in by mistake), or call the vote when they know they will win (or delay when they know they won't).

Yea well, they said that about the commission that reviews the MP's pay. Except it's now actually made up of ex-MPs and current MP's mates, who "recommended" a massive 10%+ pay rise for them. They got rid of the impartial civil servants that manned it originally, because they kept giving them the wrong answer :P
