The EU for all it's talk of relying on democracy has little to no accountability, no one the member nations chose to elect and no flexible approach to allowing us to put on breaks or restrict them.

The extent to which the EU is undemocratic is precisely the extent to which it is directly controlled by national governments. The only way for the EU to become more democratic is for it to take more power from national governments and transfer them to the European Parliament.

Lets do that then! :D

All these stories coming out of Europe which are negative towards Cameron's non-deal are of course totally stage-managed and always happen in these type of things.

It's all building up to Thursday/Friday when Cameron will tell us he's facing formidable opposition and the deal is going to be very difficult.
Then we'll hear how he's battling through the Thursday, then we'll be told the summit should finish but Cameron has forced them to go the extra mile.
Then we'll be told how Cameron battled through the night and has got a remarkable deal which will presented as a fantastic achievment against overwhelming odds.

But of course it's all crap as he asked for nothing and even the nothing was watered to down to less than nothing.

Yet I still think the British public will vote to stay in as they're largely ignorant and will fall for spin, lies and delusion.

Oh, I so want this to be the verbatim narrative on the news on Friday!

You are part of the British public as well.....just sayin'...

You just fall for the different set of spin, lies and delusion, the ones that agree with your set POV ;)

It's entirely possible, we'll just have to wait and see, but we need to have big name euro-sceptics to come out of the gate to say what a failure it all is. I notice all the lefty celebrity media lovelies are all coming out now saying how we need to stay in the EU, we need to counter them

Any reasonably smart person will see right through it all

I have a bit more faith but if we vote to stay in, it'll confirm we're surrounded by dead-eyed marxists who have no idea what they're letting themselves in for

The EU = Marxism. :D:D

3,700,349 crimes were recorded in England and Wales in 2012, which means that EU migrants are responsible for less than 1% of crimes.

Who said it wasn't? putting it to the smallest percentage you can is like trying to hide it. In my opinion.
But the fact still remains "Over 700 UK Crimes A Week Are Committed By EU Migrants".

Also the left media are telling lies and have been cought out(again)

"Left Media Migrant Rape Cover-Up: HuffPo, Indy, AND United Nations Claim Cologne Attackers ‘Not Refugees’, German Prosecutor: ‘Total Nonsense’"

http://www.breitbart.com/london/201...ot-refugees-german-prosecutor-total-nonsense/

The EU = Marxism. :D:D

Only Rob would dream up that a country lead by a conservative government voting to stay in a bloc with a conservative majority, founded by people who believe in liberty, free markets and proportional representation, is a Marxist conspiracy.

I'm sensing a heavy dose of unfiltered YouTube, with a pinch of RT and followed by possibly just a drop of Fox news. :p

"REPORT: Over 700 UK Crimes A Week Are Committed By EU Migrants"

"The bulk of the convictions involved Polish and Romanian migrants who accounted for almost 17,000 offences.
Migration restrictions on citizens from Romania and Bulgaria were lifted in 2014. Lithuanians were convicted of 6,249 offences"

http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/02/17/eu-migrant-crime-up-40-per-cent-700-offences-every-week/

Another good reason to leave this **** they call the EU

Absolute numbers are meaningless though without context of % of the population, what the crimes were etc

So, to try and normalise those statistics by per head of population, there were 6.8 million reported crimes in the year 14/15, with a population of 64 million, so that is 1 crime committed per 10 people with 37,000 crimes committed by Europeans being 0.005% of the total

Polish & Romanians have an approx population of 700,000 in the UK which is 0.01% of the population and they are reported to have committed 17,000 of the crimes, so 0.0025% of the total, which works out at 1 crime committed per 41 people....seems they are generically less criminal then the rest of the population :p

Caveat : I'm sure a proper statistician could do a much better presentation of the numbers :p but the gist is - Breitbart in meaningless headline scaring numbers shocker

In my area crimes are on rise due to our foreign friends. That's a fact.
