If you want a country that is basically letting its democracy being eroded in favor of being eventually run by the Eu government then vote yes to stay.
It has nothing really do with borders or benefits but everything to do with being able control our own destiny.
The majority of EU states don't know what democracy is, because most are all from former dictatorships.

Can't believe how the MSM are bigging this deal up. Before last night they were quite rightly pointing out how little we get from the deal - the change to benefits will save the uk only £30m, chump change compared to the uk budget. This morning, judging from the level of euphoria you'd have thought he'd just negotiated world peace. It's pathetic
What did you expect? the MSM is fully controlled, they only publish what the establishment wants them to publish.
and people still think the license fee is worth it!

Can someone just tell us what Cameron wanted and what he actually got?

And could we have it in plain English please?

Far more complicated I think than that. There are things he had to ask for to appease the No voters, but ultimately he knew he would never get them.

He wanted the headline grabbing pieces that he can fight a Yes campaign with and partially got them with strings attached, time limits and the provision they will only be agreed after the Vote is yes.

To be honest what he got or didn't get is regardless as the UK will vote Yes anyway. As the vote gets closer we will be threatened with mass unemployment, a collapsing housing market, a collapsing NHS, lock out of trade with Europe.

UK politicians are very confident they can scare the voters to vote their way otherwise we would not be having the referendum.

Same with the Scottish vote, they only held it when they knew they would get the answer they wanted.

Depending on circumstance I'm sure there will be a few individuals who won't be cowed and respond with the obligatory two fingered salute. Alas the majority sheeple won't.

As per the daily telegraph.

What David Cameron asked for... and what he actually got

The issue is with all these things, you will not find an unbias explanation.

My personal feeling is Cameron has attached far to much importance to the renegotiation. He had got very little, and it's only served to highlight how inflexible the EU is, and how determined many states are to plough forward with full political union.

Surely he hasn't actually got anything. It all still needs to be ratified by the EP.

dont tell the cbi that.

Most CBI members – though not all – have told us that being in a reformed EU is better for jobs, growth and prosperity. With a final deal now in place, we will consult our members to ask for their views once again.”

CBI director general

seems they think the deals done and dusted lol

It's highly improbable though that after this negotiation they would turn round and say 'Ya boo hiss' to all your concessions after we had the referendum and if we voted to stay in.

That's just another bit of scaremongering tbh

What would happen if they did do that though? War?! Or, just take it like the ***** of a country we will become.

Looks like a done deal:

European Union leaders have unanimously agreed on a package of measures aimed at keeping Britain in the 28-nation bloc.

The deal was secured by British Prime Minister David Cameron and gives the UK "special status" in the EU after a marathon summit in Brussels.

The move paves the way for him to campaign to stay in the bloc in a historic referendum expected on June 23.

I disagree; the heads of state can't enforce how the MEP's vote. It's less scaremongering and more of yet another unknown.

I find the situation utterly bonkers. On such an exceptionally important question and it’s been framed against an “if”. I can only hope the arguments that are set out are based on today’s actual legal framework as opposed to anything else.

I liked the BBC coverage last night, Angela Merkel started talking about how we had been given a "7 year transition period" and the BBC quickly cut away. That's the sort of media bias the out campaign are up against.

In 7-10 years we'll be in the same position as we are today except we'll all be told how we voted to stay in.

Can someone please explain to me how State pension work now, how one becomes entitled to a state pension, and what period this works over?

It used to be the case that one had to accrue a Ni 'stamp' and the number of stamps you had acquired over the course of your life was a factor in how much pension you received.
This has now changed, and there is a basic pension and some top up level. How does this function?

If a person lives and works in the UK for 10 years, then goes to another country, what pension can they expect to receive at SRA (statutory retirement age) and what if someone works here for 20?

The need to leave has never been stronger than it is now after this farce.

We got nothing from the negotiations, we get nothing from the EU just migrants.

And all this from from a bunch of people no one voted in.

The EU is a farce.

Lets get out ASAP.

Talking bullocks again. Why don't you read the thread first.

As others have stated, he (David Cameron) has secured nothing more than a package of intent, agreed by the heads of state, which still needs to be ratified by the European Parliament members whom the heads of state have no control over whatsoever..

Cameron has got nothing. The money makers want us to stay in because of the TTIP.
