Caporegime
That's like a less extreme version of trying to watch Netflix at 21:9. (Netflix has the film at the correct aspect ratio, but it just goes like the evil within does)
But that's hilarious at how it displays itself.
Game does not detect HDTV's properly so reduces FPS to 24 to match the HDTV 24Mhz mode same issue Wolfenstein The New Order had wait for them to patch or go post on their forums so they know about it!Don't suppose anyone is having the same problem as me,I can play in max settings on 1080P on my 23inch 120hz monitor no problem,
But when i try plugging in my T.V via HDMI everything is fine desktop wise and other games,
Then when i go to the settings and put it on 1080P all the screen shifts so i can't see half the menu options and gameplay looks like half of it is off the screen.

It's like Watch Dogs all over again.
Lmfao it looks terrible for the grunt required.
The theory was the X86 consoles were going to make PC games better. Making it worse.
Yeah, but it wont save and you will have to re-enter it when you restart the game.
You can place those commands in
C:\Users\(YourName)\Saved Games\TangoGameworks\The Evil Within\base
Open "the evil withinConfig.cfg" with notepad and add it to the very bottom like so
megashadow_resolutionScale "1"
con_IconWindowY "24"
con_IconWindowX "24"
r_forceaspectratio "2"
r_swapinterval "-1"
The above is my setting.
Really dated feel to this game and ridiculous fov.
That's just it though, they lied about the aspect ratio. It's letterboxed 16:9. most likely done because full 1920x1080 is impossible to maintain 30fps at on Consoles.
Even so I can't keep a steady 30fps anyway.
..
it's strange because Dishonored was perfect
We all know it`s beacuse new consoles cannot handle certain frames.
First chapter was terrible in my opinion. Nearly turned it off after that but gave it another shot. Chapter 2 wasn't amazing either but far better than the first and chapter 3 so far feels like I'm playing RE4 with more dangerous enemies and less ammo.
Just encountered a game breaking bug as well. I examined a window to look through it and no matter what I do, I can't go back to controlling my character again. Its stupid how bugs like that make it into the launch code...
