Original Xbox lol, mouse and keyboard are prefered in FPS & MMO. That's basically it.
 
The 360 has the perfect pad for me....minus the crap d pad. Triggers are perfect and the analogue sticks are in the right place.
 
N64 analogue was very good for FPS, especially with the Z trigger.

That was when Sony got the idea to tack on a couple of analogue sticks of their own to the PS1 pad.
 
I found out the other day that the N64 stick was actually digital. In terms of use I still rate it higher than current analogue sticks - you only have to play Perfect Dark on the 360 to experience the dead zone on the 360 pad that isn't here on the N64 pad (best not to mention the HUGE dead zone on the PS3 pad ;))

How's that work then? What about on Mario 64 when you had to creep past the sleeping venus fly traps? It's impossible to do on an emulator if you have no analogue stick.
 
I'm amazed people find the 360 analogue stick placement better than the PS2, one of the reasons for selling my XBOX was the fact I couldn't get on with the controller.

Not saying your wrong but I can't be the only one that doesn't like the 360 controller lol.

I don't understand it either seriously, on the DS2/3 my thumbs naturally rest on the analogue sticks, on the 360 pad my left thumb ends up resting on the d-pad, I have to move it up-to the analogue stick.

You have no control over your fingers if you find the triggers on the ps3 pad un-usable ;)

I too prefer the ps pad and don't get on with the 360 controller.

Know a lot of people who prefer the ps pad and a load of people who prefer the 360 pad :p it's all just personal preference.
