Well this is thoroughly depressing...

Amazon has renewed the highly acclaimed sci-fi drama “The Expanse” for a sixth and final season. The order comes in just a few weeks ahead of the show’s fifth season premiere on December 16th.

Missing out last 3 books seems a BIG mistake to me.

The plot becomes more problematic too, it is disappointing but entirely understandable. Following the books it’s a good place to stop.

It makes sense, doesn't mean I have to like it

Books 7/8 are huge in scope compared to what we've seen so far, just a bit gutted we won't see that on screen.

Expanse Next Gen coming in 30 years.

I would normally agree but the stuff is pretty serious with underage girls and I think there's a good bit of proof. Could be wrong tho

Yep, exactly at the point they are ending

The next book starts 30 years later after the conclusion to current events.

Has the authorities got involved yet ?. I've seen no mention of any charges or formal procedures.

No. It's a private investigation. The studio seems to be doing it the correct way. Probably won't hear nothing just he be written out or replaced.

I don't believe anything illegal happend with the under age girl's.

Can understand it, would be incredibly difficult to do on screen, but shame to see probably the best Sci Fi show we've ever seen end before its story is fully told.

I might be showing my age though, but expanse sits at 11 or 12 for the moment, if Amos goes like he does in the books then expanse hits the top 10

Honourable mention to Babylon 5 but space should not be a costume DRAMA, I might watch these again as I am sure I missed a few.

I had to bite, I hold Expanse in high regard, through a combination of what we've seen on screen and the books with what might come.

Out of your list i'll agree with X-Files, i'll take B5 over DS9 every day of the week, even though I like DS9 and BSG from the 2000's. B5 was just far better written and acted, same with modern BSG.

Each to their own though but I do find Stargate very overrated.

You mentioned your age, how old...guessing mid 50's based on that list (no offence intended)? I'm 41 btw.
