The F1 2014 season

Santander are on their way out. They followed Alonso to McLaren and then jumped ship as much as they could when Alonso went to Ferrari. Although it was Hamilton they had issues with so maybe they might come back round? (In 2007 the Santander advertising in Europe had Alonso and de la Rosa on it, they didn't use Hamiltons image at all).

That's because he's black.

Just kidding. Though when I was in Santander in November there were fascist and anti-fascist protest.

All seemed safe enough though.

Fugly nose is fugly.

Obviously there's the possibility teams will go for wider less offensive noses. But they could also have gone for smooth non stepped noses in 2012, and look what happened there...

I don't mind the nose too much, although I'll hold off making a full judgement until I actually see the real cars, but they might be better than they look in the renders.

I do like the back though, much cleaner and more streamlined looking.

Hoping to see some nice (different!) paint schemes, new regs so let's get some nice new designs.

I think the only real potential for some new colours is Sauber (because they can paint it whatever they want without any major sponsors) and maybe McLaren with their loss of Vodafone. Nobody else has really changed anything have they?

No don't think so, I think Marussia and Force India could paint their cars whatever but doubt they'll change now... In theory I guess Lotus could too, as they don't receive any actual Lotus backing anymore (I think?)... They could paint it whatever colour whoever pays them the most decides :p

Edit: Thinking about it Marussia should paint their cars red, white and blue... Russian colours, French colours (for Bianchi) and (if they do keep Chilton) British colours :p :D

if the 2014 McLaren launch is anything like the 2013 one then i wouldn't pay it much attention. from what i remember the main change for 2013 was the exhaust placement, and McLaren put a radically different rear end on the car at the unveil

This does feel all a bit odd. Usually come the new year we at least have some confirmed launch dates.

But this year, even with testing starting much earlier than normal, we have absolutely nothing from anyone. The teams haven't even had an opportunity to stick their heads out from the factories and comment on the FIAs retarded new rules.

I hope it doesn't mean everyone is struggling to be ready in time :(

No, they never are. There will be live timing and photos on blogs and websites though. I think Sky does some weekly round ups in their F1 Show.
