I'm not sure exactly what either said but unlike some, I'm not afraid to disagree with Fergie....I mean our manager ;)

I thought both sides played poorly. You had a spell from just after we scored until midway through the 2nd half where you controlled the midfield but you failed to create anything with that possession. Without the possession, we had more attempts on goal, corners etc. It was a pretty even game imo, which was decided by the odd mistake.
 
Really pleased for Kuyt - he needs a goal to boost his confidence, although he should be thanking evra for taking a nap.
Thought utd,s best player was rafeal.
 
Great result for us, Though neither of us were that creative UTD goal came form a rare Enrique mistakes.

De Gea imo could have saved both our shots but didnt so great for us :D :D, UTD did have most possesion thats obvs but disagree with fergie that UTD were better team, Reina didnt have much to do all afternoon.

Carroll showed some positives, Downing was most of the game useless though imo.

Anyway were into next round so YAY :D

Nice to see everyone well behaved for the 90 minutes, expected fierce stuff from united but largely they kept it quiet bar the hillsborough chants.

Couldn't find my bananas Tom sorry.
 
I think Maxi Rodriguez was a little lucky, he did a nasty lunge on Valencia just before he hit the post but luckily missed completely. Then his two footed challenge right before being subbed should have been a red going by the standards they've been talking about in the papers this week.

I wouldn't call the manic booing of only Patrice Evra particularly 'quiet' and I thought it did Liverpool no credit (to put it politely).

I noticed that earlier on people said that everyone would be booed but this clearly wasn't the case.

I thought Halsey did a very good job but yeah Maxi should have gone. Got to credit the ref though in the circumstances a red card was not what the fixture needed.

The biggest frustration is yet again we have lost a game due to a lack of creativity on the pitch. How many more times is this going to happen? The difference between giving the ball to Nani instead of Park on the wing is enormous. We also desperately needed someone like Anderson prepared to run the ball from midfield and up the tempo.

I apologise for coming over like a tard but I'm just so frustrated by that.
