The FA CUP Fourth Round 27/28/29 January *** Spoilers ****

The biggest frustration is yet again we have lost a game due to a lack of creativity on the pitch. How many more times is this going to happen? The difference between giving the ball to Nani instead of Park on the wing is enormous. We also desperately needed someone like Anderson prepared to run the ball from midfield and up the tempo.

I apologise for coming over like a tard but I'm just so frustrated by that.

All we need are a couple of midfielders and to not play De Gea again, I'm sure Madrid will have him back for £10 million.

If you say so.

You obviously think there is something to cause a stir about, I don't, so your bile is your own issue.

Nice edit. Very brave.

We need to stick with De Gea, giving up on him after half a season would be monumentally stupid.

Fergie only has himself to blame if he's low on confidence. Perhaps having faith in him instead of hanging him out to dry after the Blackburn game and dropping him for almost a month? Then he brings him back for a huge game against our rivals! It's like he wants him to fail.

For all his positives I'm not sure Welbeck was the right man for the lone front man, he'll chase plenty of lost causes but we were that much in control in hindsight we really needed Berbatov's craft to be able to hold the ball and bring others into play

As for the Park part don't forget Young is also missing, I might not rate the guy but he his a little bit more direct than Park who despite scoring a very good goal always need 2 or 3 touches today which tended to kill a lot of moves

It really does, worry/frustrate me that premier league managers can be so dense.

What did Utd lack, creativity and more than that, real drive from midfield to get forward, your classic Gerrard type who runs into the box a bit late and causes everyone to panic.

What has City's problem been, Yaya lost form before xmas, he wasn't driving forwards as much, no one took over, Silva had been pap and isn't really willing to run up against people most of the time.

Liverpool have had the same issue, plenty of teams do, it's painfully obvious where the problem is when it happens and yet Fergie, won everything multiple times will still go into a big game and not only get the line up obviously lacking in departments, but fail to change it till you're 2-1 down?

I can't for the life of me see how Berbatov doesn't start every game he's fit for, he's nothing less than an excellent footballer.

Are managers just too afraid of the majority of fans at most clubs who rather stupidly value workrate(Park) over actual quality(Berbatov?).

How does Fergie pick Park if Berbatov is fit, how does Wenger pick Walcott, how does Mancini pick Nasri and Silva in the same team, etc.

All you're doing though is sounding bitter. I'm sure if Man U would win, countless fans would be in here laughing at 'Pool losing. Surely you've learn this about football now :p

I'm really not bitter. Our team wasn't good enough, we didn't do enough to win despite being ultimately the better of two poor sides. Being the better side counts for **** all if you still lose.

It's quite easy to spot people who pop up in here and just post for a reaction, and I just identified that. Crap like that should be ignored but whatever.

I'll just be generally bitter the more we leave Berbatov on the bench and have to suffer garbage like that, time and time again.

I agree the way Fergie has dealt with De Gea is bizarre at best. I felt he was always going to play in one of the next two games though and given this was a cup tie it's not a surprise it was today.

For all his lack of confidence he still looks a class over Lindegaard for me even today. We won't stick with him though, he'll be back on the bench come Tuesday night :(

Dunno, I'm less sure about that. A quality CM is a must regardless of Cleverley's return, a new LB would be handy too. Evra has been better in recent weeks but his mistakes have cost us so many big games in recent seasons.

I wouldn't call the manic booing of only Patrice Evra particularly 'quiet' and I thought it did Liverpool no credit (to put it politely).

Give over. The atmosphere was a lot friendlier than I was expecting and Evra got off lightly when you consider the reaction the likes of Gerrard, Rooney and Neville have got in this fixture.

Yes, but only he was being booed and it was pretty intense booing too.

I'm not saying that makes the fans racist but as far as I'm concerned it was a pretty poor show. There wasn't a single boo for anyone else so it was very clear what it was about.

Keep flogging that dead horse.

Just because something brushes you up the wrong way, that doesn't ratify it as trolling.

I'm not going to layout and defend the motives for the post, it was a light hearted celebratory image that summed up the feelings of most Liverpool fans, that's it.

A grown man seething over it and taking offence that isn't there isn't something I have to be held accountable for, that's your responsibility.

You think when Rafael was taking throws or Giggs was taking corners or free-kicks they weren't getting abuse? Of course they were. Evra got more and it was noticable but it was hardly anything out of the norm for this game. Neville and Rooney have received far far worse at Anfield and Gerrard at OT. Stop trying to make an issue out of nothing.

I'm not seething over anything, just giving my opinion on your post. This is a discussion forum after all. I suggest you get used to it.

Liverpool were poor. We were better.

You're entitled to your opinion.

My opinion is that we were both poor but all that matters is this..... we won :p

You're pointing it out now but will you be pointing out similar or much worse abuse in matches next week or when we come to OT and Gerrard's on the receiving end?

The rivalry between Liverpool and Utd is great and that bit of hatred makes it great, providing it doesn't go overboard. I thought both sets of fans handled themselves very well given the circumstances.

I have no problem with opinion, it's a little more than that when it's put across with such vitriol and character assassination, no?

I could also suggest you get used to people posting things you don't like instead of getting so irate and trying to drive them out of the forum, if you want to take that angle.

Character assassination? What are you reading! :p

Anyway, lets leave it at that. Shamikebab is getting upset.
