The FA CUP Third Round - 7/8/9 January *** Spoilers ****

People really think that wasn't a red

If Nani hadn't jumped that could have broken him completely. Ridiculously dangerous. Amazed people still think you can get away with a two footed, studs up scissor challenge like that.

yes not a red imo, he did tackle at ground level and didn't go shin or knee height

Oh well that's fine, because clearly you see studs up two footed challenges at ground level given a yellow all the time. That kind of challenge has been a red for a good couple of seasons now, players should be getting the hint.

Sorry, I must have been watching a different game where Rooney scored an excellent goal to open the scoring against 11?

You need to log out and log in as Biz as well if you're going to post Rooney related nonsense. :p

he scored a good header against the run of play (i even commented wow) had a penalty saved and nodded in the rebound.

you watch him get a hat-trick :D

You opinion is irrelevant, its a red card even if you DONT jump and block two footed with your studs up.

To be fair just watched it again, he kept one leg relatively out of the way of the actual tackle, got the whole ball, and didn't exactly chuck himself at it the way i've seen some people get away with.

In my opinion (btw i'm a neutral that hates both teams equally :p) it's one of the softest red cards i've ever seen.

Surprised so many people are saying the red card was the wrong decision? He was in two footed, off the ground. That in my opinion is a red card every time, regardless of whether or not he played the ball.

If you let him get away with it this week because he played the ball, next week he does it again and breaks someone's leg. I'm all for sliding tackles being a part of the game, but a lunge like that has no place in it.

Yes, it's clearly not the worst tackle you will see but the rules there for a reason, when those tackles go wrong its a broken leg.
And everyone knows it now don't they?
