The FA CUP Third Round - 7/8/9 January *** Spoilers ****

Their LB was about a foot inside the box when Song passed the ball, Henry was right on the line itself, so you can tell he's definitely onside. It's only looks offside if you watch the ball since when Henry takes his first touch he's ahead of everyone else.

More or less what i was about to say...think a few people need to go to specsavers lol:p

This is a fraction after the ball has left Song's foot, he could easily have been level with the two centre backs when the pass was made, not that it matters. ;)

Wow you know this how exactly??...did he call you and tell u his exact thoughts??...i mean you lot had to get Kompany sent off to win over the weekend:p

You gotta learn to ignore these types of comments, they don't deserve a response

Great goal, finished like a striker in his prime. What a moment, unbelievable scenes, what football is about

Nope, that's onside.

Strange that sky would've provided an in-line replay immediately but espn couldn't. Even the beeb and itv get that right.

Shame cos aidy had a good game.

If you mean knock out a Championship club from the FA Cup yeah you're right. Neither are going to win their respective sides any trophies though

The main difference will be in fitness, from what I can gather Henry probably hadn't played or trained an awful lot since the very beginning of November....... Scholes has probably been training hard and waiting for the call since probably early October :p

Seriously though, the ginger didn't seem particularly out of shape to me, Henry after the goal spent several minutes standing in almost the same spot. Looks miles away from match fitness and that is a problem. Losing or drawing a game is when you want to bring on a striker to win a game, and those parts of games are often frantic, end to end a require you to not necessarily run for long but run pretty hard for 15 minutes. Its easier to run about a bit for 90 minutes than work very hard for 15.

Larson was used as a super sub but I don't remember any signs of him looking unfit.

Either way, fantastic to see him score, such a classic goal as well, the inside foot, slight curl into the far corner of the net. Ridiculously good player, I really hope he can get up to a half decent level of fitness before his loan is up.

It is a master stroke signing by Wenger though, but I only realised why this evening.

RVP might have it in his mind that another season at his current scoring rate and if he can manage 50 games a season and he might just about beat Henry's record, so Wenger get's Henry in to bump that record up enough so RVP has to stay another year.

Meh, had to go check what RVP's scoring was like, I knew he wasn't that close to Henry but he's a couple seasons at 50 a season from matching Henry at a quick glance....

Delighted to see Henry score, a vintage Henry finish.

His fitness is worse than I thought unfortunately, I don't know if he over-celebrated but he certainly didn't have much left after he scored. The positive is he's not going to be playing full matches or anywhere near that, so if they can improve his fitness he should have no problem playing 15 mins here and there, I can see him bagging a couple more goals as well.

I hope it goes well for him, he's a legend of the game and one of the best ever. :)

Sheesh what is that left-back doing. Terrible positional play. Sack the board.

To be fair to him i think just out of picture at the top of the screen is an arsenal player that is pushed up a bit further, still not great positioning but when you're defending for 80 minutes of a match you're going to make a mistake eventually :p

Well chuffed for Henry, although he looked more out of shape than i am his goal was quality and a trip back to the past. How on earth did Arshavin stay on the pitch? He was absolutely awful, ran a lot which is an improvment but messed up everything he tried. What has the Ox got to do to play a full game? He was our most dangerous player as he has been in other game but still gets subbed. Chamakh was as useless as ever too. We really do need a permanent new striker and left mid.
