It can't outdo my 6950>70 CrossFire@950MHz@1080p 24/7 on 9/10 games which was cheaper over a year ago(probably applies to Kepler too)!

I'm running a single monitor 1920x1080 lol, play BF3 with 60hz vsync at 60fps with ultra preset. I get 60fps at 1150mhz, and 60fps at 1200mhz derp

How you manage that CCC sliders only go up to 1125-1575mhz. I could take more juice easily max temps only 83c 7970 xfire.

Hmm, seems that 1006mhz is overclocked and the actual speed is 700mhz as per below.
Also, how is it fair running an overclocked GTX680 against a stock 7970?

My BF3 results at 1150/1650 (everyday 24/7 overclock)

72fps, the same as the GTX 680 overclocked. I bet when you ramp up the resolution then Kepler will fail due to only having 2gb vram. I'm using upto 1800mb at 1080p

1006Mhz is obviously the max boost clock when running intensive 3D games and benchmarks. So yeah I would regard it as the default clocks. Question is how much more overlcock headroom is there?

2 x 6 pin pcie power sockets, so I think it's pretty much maxed out at 1006mhz.

Could be a new bios sets to 1006 and 7xx was the old?

Both retailers we've seen so far say 1006 stock

It was 700 when it was a 670ti.

It still is! If they released this as a 670ti oc edition then the enthusiasts would be happy, especially if it was £299. It would have cleaned up the GPU market. But no, they rebadged and overclocked the cajones off of the poor GK104 and now it's top end at £450 LOL

A 7970 at 1100Mhz gets around that GPU score. It's not bad but for me I need to see how far the 680 can clock.

Wrong, it can better it at stock, at 1100 they can get circa 13000 p score - aka most 7970's.

10979 P score on 3Dmark11 on a 7970 at stock clocks 925/1375

Was the 7970 used in testing in the same set up? I doubt it.

Real world benchmarks, and it makes me cringe to say his name Tom Logans review should be more honest
