US: The Flash (2014)

I really enjoyed series 1, I'm just not craving more. I would have been happy with that as a 1 season run with how it ended.
Agree. It was a pretty epic season which I don't think they will ever replicate due to the emotional involvement with an enemy who killed his mother.

I honestly thought he was gonna be his archnemesis throughout multiple seasons, I'm surprised they killed him off. Then again, it is time travel so they can pretty much do whatever they want with any character.

I'll still watch it though.

Kinda blitzed season 1 of this over the past few days, didn't expect to enjoy it! Really loved it! :)

Don't know much in terms of the Flash and his history so had to google who 'Zoom' - looks good :)

I would be mega mega ****** off if I was Grant Gustin right now, knowing I was playing the part but had been overlooked to star in the film and replaced with this dude.

The Flash: Seth Grahame-Smith Reportedly in Negotiations to Direct Upcoming Comic Book Film
The movie will be the author's first time directing a feature film, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Ezra Miller will star as the red speedster in the film, set to release in theaters March 3, 2018.

Didn't they announce that guy to play flash in the film even before season 1 had started?
They probably didn't know how the TV with Gustin would turn out at that point.
Personally I wish Gustin was doing the movie too as the guy is a great flash and I'm so used to him in that role now.

Oh god! That will probably be another "re-imagining" like the recent Fantastic Four film that completely misses the point. They'll be lucky if they don't bring the series down with it.

At the same time, assuming the film does the whole creation story, it would be a bit weird seeing Gustin starring in it as we have already seen the story play out.

Course, if they were being real clever, if timelines/parallel universes are involved, having Gustin turn up as an alternative Flash would be pretty slick

Feel exactly the same but I did like the show's self awareness of how ridiculous it was for people to breeze into Star Labs and finish someone's sentence.

Decent start to the series, glad it's back.
Bit surprised at Barrys Dad just getting out and instantly disappearing. Was like, "thanks for all those years of hard work getting me out son, laters!".

Also no more firestorm? :(

He's in the new spin-off show Legends of Tomorrow so he's alive and I imagine he'll appear in The Flash again before it starts in January.

Edit - turns out he might no longer going to be in the spin-off, he's joined the X-Files show. IMDb lists him in next weeks episode of The Flash though so perhaps they are resolving it then, or just a flashback.

Ahh OK, I thought I'd saw him in the trailer for that but couldn't remember. Poor Caitlyn, thinking her husband has died but not died twice now lol.
