US: The Flash (2014)

I get they had to put that question in someone's mouth for expositions sake, but you have 5 scientists of various kinds with Barry as the lowest a "mere" forensic scientist. Seems pretty obvious who should have asked. Or even put it in a scene with Joe or Iris "wait so the dot that says "the Flash" represents Barry?" West present.

I'm guessing that when that article form 2024 said the Flash had disappeared, that's when Barry went forward in time and ended up alongside Reverse Flash for them to become enemies?

I'm guessing none of you are scientists and i certainly am not, yet we know what a singularity is and the Superhero's scientist sidekick doesn't? I thought all nerds watch scifi TV and movies! :p

Haha that is true. I'd have asked how reverse flash got his powers, do they hand them out freely in the future or did he blow up another accelerator that gave him powers after Barry? Or did he get his powers at the same time as Barry.

Are you sure ? Last chance :D
The is the a number of reasons why he called Reverse Flash/Professor zoom. Basically he a crazed nut job from the 25th century that was infatuated with Barry Allen(BA) and was his no1 Fan. He reverse engineers Flash's abilities and also recreates the chemical bath that gave him powers. This allows him to tap into the Speed Force (TV series simplied explaination) whereas in original material he taps into the "negative speed force" hence reverse flash and Professor Zoom - for his scientifc knowledge.

Doesn't make sense that he did as he's so much farther in the future than Barrys '2024' timeline.

There a reason for this but i cant really go into it as it a major major spoiler. Dont worry i am sure they will cover it..... eventually. :) It safe to say it all revolves around time travel. if your really desperate look up
Infinite Crisis

How are him and the flash mortal enemies? Why didn't the flash ask him this? Why didn't he ask him how he became the flash without this accident in the first place? Why didn't he ask him why they are enemies?

I think he did but as some has mentioned the writers pretty much glossed over it :( and Wells said it "doesnt matter or not important" Was kind of disappointed with that explaination but it is understandably as it is very convoluted

With the ending . .

Barry was willing to destroy the city to try and save his mum? He knew what it could cause (blackhole) and so did his friends, but they let him do it anyway. Does this seem slightly villainous to anybody else?

Someone pointed it out and thinking about, it just seems like a huge thing. I mean, if it was anybody else who was trying to save somebody with repercussions like that they'd be branded a villian and taken out.

the whole thing had plot holes galore. probably best to just not think about it.

Similar thing with everyone just telling Barry to go ahead knowing their lives would be totally altered. However in the end it would have made no difference seen as the killing of ***** would have meant the reverse flash never existed therefore Barry's mom survives anyways. SO in theory the only thing that's probably happened is an off shoot of an alternate reality with this one continuing the same with the paradox.

This is why every series / film that messes with time travel ends up in a slight mess that's open to interpretation. only back to the future pulled it off in a way for me.

They don't show it from the beginning though grrrrr

It'll more than likely be added to Sky Boxsets again at some point over the summer, along with the first three seasons of Arrow. I can't see them missing the opportunity to show them again before the new season begins.

Really enjoyed that and the series as a whole. Loads of plot holes, but there always will be when time travel is involved. Best not to think about them I guess. Looking forward to the next series of the flash a lot more than arrow...who would have thunk it  :D

Just rewatching this.
Isn't there kind of a huge plothole in one episode? In the Arrow team up, when Oliver shoots Prism, Prism goes down, Oliver disappears. But Prism gets away? You what?

Also, the scheduling made no sense. Felicity put in the facial recognition software in, however on the previous episode they already had it. This is the episode that Iris gets annoyed at the Flash and refuses to talk to him, but in the previous episode talked to him fine. So it's not a case of Arrow visited the week prior and it's a scheduling issue.

It's an american tv thing...keeping things in order/on schedule is something they seem to have great difficulty in.

If you want more out of sequence episodes, the flash penultimate episode, where does that fit in arrow :o Best solution is just to not think about these things, let alone the massive paradox at the end of the last episode.

detective thorn dies which 'deletes' the reverse flash (he vanishes from timeline), meaning no collider (it was made earlier than originally planned) or flash because they were all created by the reverse flash. See what I mean about not thinking too hard about things lol

But with these two particular episodes, one element of one episode seems like it's from one, and vice versa. So regardless of the schedule of the episode, it's off :p

The Thawne one is weird anyway, simply by being with Iris he's removed reverse flash from existence, he's changed his life, so likely won't have the children he would have.

Awesome finish, I am interested to see what ciscos powers and skills are at first thought I figured he was able to retain visions of past parallel events so something with time travel ?

Btw Caitlin looked hot as killer frost looks like both of them got on that meta juice.

Interesting to see the original flashes helmet.... building up more cross overs across different times no doubt and that reference to trip hunter being the first guy to build that time machine we know he will be in the new spin off show :D

I will miss wells/professor zoom though he made a wickedly devious baddie especially with his patented fap hand which he loves to show off.
