US: The Flash (2014)

Ah yeah nice :) Constantine looks cool, looking forward to the zombie show too, forgot the name though.

I quite enjoyed smallville a lot more after season 6/7. I really enjoyed when there were a bunch of superheroes rather than just one. And it got a whole lot better with lana left. Though I never really got into comics too much.

iZombie. That's due to start probably around January 2015, I believe. Will be checking that one out too.

I remember the first live action TV series from 1990 which only last one season.

Hopefully, the new one lasts longer than one season, especially with the Arrow tie-in.

I do prefer the intro theme though for the old one by Danny Elfman. He did the score for the first Batman and shows such as The Simpsons.

It probably will. The CW tend to be pretty lenient when it comes to renewing shows, they have to be doing really poorly and have little money making prospects in the future for them to cancel them.

So far it's better than smallville was and it ran for 10 years.

I thought it was pretty average. His powers aren't exactly thrilling which doesn't help but the basic setup with the pining over a girl, mystery in his past and guy with a secret is predictable and a little lazy. Still, it wasn't the worst DC show to leak...

Always enjoyed the Flash character and really enjoyed this pilot.

Had a big grin on my face during the Arrow crossover part, I hope there is a few more occasions that this happens during the series. Having the timelines synced up is great.

Looking forward to the series kicking off proper.

Definitely seems like a younger more CW style type show than Arrow from the first ep but it wasn't bad, just was hoping for a bit more and was not happy about:

The fact they pretty much break Arrow/Flash continuity in the very first episode. No mention of Felicity anywhere, he's pining over a different girl and completely forgets about the one who was by his bed for most of the early part of the coma according to Arrow. Admittedly its been 9 months but surely for him he would remember Felicity more prominently (I would).

Quite liked the first episode. My biggest bug bear with it as with Arrow, is just how many people know his identity, it seems like every season more and more people find out who he is, I hope the same thing doesn't happen with Flash, oh and the monologue at the beginning of each episode.

It looks like its going to be interesting seeing it develop, as long as it doesn't turn into Heroes, quite liked the humour, and the way it could link back to Arrow every now and again.

I don't see how they broke the continuity or connection with Arrow. They had Oliver in it, I imagine they will mention Felicity at some point. He did begin to talk about it, during his speech about relationships.

I know he was talking about the relationship with the sargeants daughter / his best friend, and it was implied that he was referring to the relationship they had, but I think he is also talking about Felicity.

But he wouldn't really know she was there if he was in a coma...but maybe he will find out in a later episode about her visits ;)

He was in a coma, so wouldn't know who was by his bedside

Actually nope, I just finished watching through S1-2 of Arrow yesterday and they specifically mentioned Iris was watching over Barry in a coma and Felicity looked jealous.

They've cast Robbie Amell (Arrow's real life cousin) from The Tomorrow people in at least one episode as Firestorm http://www.tvrage.com/news/10358/firestorm-to-appear-on-the-flash
oh joy....he was probably the weakest character in terms of acting skill (lots of people thought it) in tomorrow people, even worse when he's the main character

Having said that I'd be putting money on a 'firestorm' spin off, cw might as well milk the 'franchise' as much as it can lol

Wentworth Miller has been cast as Captain Cold now. Not a fan of his at all tbh, he just uses the same stare and voice in every part he plays, probably won't matter for this show though.

Edit - just read the following on IMDb :)

"Episodes 8 of both shows, Arrow and Flash, are going to be a two-hour crossover event,"

And by "two-hour" they mean that you will see one side on The Flash on Tuesday night and the other side on Arrow the night after. :)
