I'd say it's as much an inherent flaw in 22 episode seasons as it is a flaw in the character. You can't fill 22 episodes with The Flash fighting the likes of Zoom/RF and Grodd. It would get boring. Like most American long-season shows, The Flash contains a lot of filler and as such can't be taken too seriously.
In many, many ways, the Marvel/Netflix 10 episode season is a far better format.

Tony Todd voicing Zoom on one hand is amazing, makes Zoom that much more menacing. The problem is, if he gets unmasked and it's somebody like Earth-2 Barry... it's going to seem a little strange. At least with Cavanagh they just modified his voice when he was in his suit.

I think the Zoom voice is amazing. I personally have no problem with a different actor being in the suit. They could explain it many ways.

Bent out of shape is a bit of an exaggeration I don't see anybody getting too worked up by it at least not on here anyway, me personally as I said.. it's just a little strange to hear a voice that menacing and the mask comes off and it's somebody like Barry. Barry and Eobard have the ability to alter their voice by vibrating their vocal chords but it seems like Zoom isn't doing that.
I know I'm in a select few but I would actually have no problem if Zoom wasn't someone's earth-2 counterpart, if he was just another guy I'd think it was fine but they would need to extend his agenda a bit outside of wanting to be the only speedster in the multiverse.

Looking at his build, he's probably not someone like Barry and I'd wager that if/when the mask does come off, they'll have had the make up dept work on a nice scary face under there for us.
If not, and it does turn out to be some dweeb in a muscle suit, then fair enough.

I never said I thought it was Barry, I mentioned him because it's the popular internet theory at the moment. I do agree though, he seems to be a bigger guy than Barry. There are a few other theories out there but the long and short of it is, we just haven't seen enough to make an educated guess.

When you said I was being presumptuous I thought you had meant I thought it was Barry or someone like him, don't know enough to really presume anything. I was just saying I'd feel a bit weird if it did end up being someone like him. If Zoom's agenda gets bigger than being obsessed with speed, the mask can stay on as far as I'm concerned. Think that's part of why he's been so well received at the moment, a lot of mystery about him.
