Whilst a little extreme, it’s a shame we’re so passive in the UK and just rollover. At best people moan on FB.

True, the Brits should have had their revolution back then too. They did actually try, but it was put down bloodily by the establishment.A deeply tapped nation of man children, Napoleon really did give a lot of them a long lasting complex.

"Napoleon Complex" - Inferring that those of short stature are overtly aggressive / confrontational / petty was created as propaganda by the British.
In reality at the time the "French Inch" was 2.7cm, while the "British Inch" was 2.54cm. As such, Napoleon was actually of average height for the time period.
How did I know Devilman would be along to take things so literally
Do you have something constructive to say with regard to my post, or did you just feel like having a personal pop at me for your own grins and giggles?
Everyone is aware Napoleon wasn't actually that short for the time, the fact you focused in on that aspect of the complex rather than the description of it tells me all I need to know, overtly aggressive / confrontational / petty. Are you French by any chance?
Stop trying to be the smartest person in the room by copying and pasting stuff from a Google search.
The fact you were attempting to assert the false belief of "Napoleon Complex" as being a legitimate answer / opinion regarding the French and their protests, then further go on to attempt to have 2 more personal digs at me, I think it says a LOT more about you, to be honest.
If you consider my replies to include 2 personal attacks on you then report them? I really think it's a stretch but be my guest.
Wow, that edit, someone is definitely triggered this morning.
I prefer to let them stay there for prosperity so others can see you focus on attacking me personally, rather than having any actual comment on the topic, the protest's or the throwing of petrol bombs at police.
It's quite informative.
What is going on here ? Can we not make up and sing songs together ?
We brought the King John to heel in 1215 with Magna Carta which Stephen I later re-signed. We had a Civil War ending in 1649 which ended with the King being decapitated. We had the Restoration in 1660 but booted the Stuarts back out in 1680 with the Glorious Revolution and further limited the Monarch with the Bill of Rights in 1699. We then had the English Civil War Part 2 with the American colonies seceding in 1776. The Civil List Acts 1760 and 1782 pretty much closed up Royal Power after much of it passed to Parliament with the George's. We'd basically dismantled Royal power and formed the constitutional monarchy years before the French got around to scratching their bum. Let us not forget how constitutionally incontinent the French have been since 1792. Revolutionary France, Inperial France, Restoration, a few more Empires and a few more Republics and now we're on the 5th Republic. As opposed to the UK which has an incredibly long and stable constitutional settlement. So I'm not sure we just roll over because in that 300+ years we've had reform acts, workers rights movements the full painful process of bringing the state to heel. We just don't go bonkers for no reason anymore*.True, the Brits should have had their revolution back then too. They did actually try, but it was put down bloodily by the establishment.
Now they just roll over with a 'thank you very much sir' attitude.
I doubt their lungs, eyes and anywhere else on their body that's not protected would agree.Picture makes it look more dramatic. Fire went out in less than 5s.
