Fortune telling isn't good ground to argue on.

This is to prevent the highly despised crippling of public infrastructure as "protest" and I'm not hearing you say you're ok with that kind of action.

If you think the law sucks as it's written just say that, seems to be grounds to say the wording is intentionally vague.

The point is, the general public will agree with scraping people off the floor and jailing them when the floor is in fact a major road they were trying to use.

If you want simple.

Non violent protests shouldn't be a criminal offence in a democracy.
If any criminal offences do occur while protesting they should be punished with non-custodial punishments.

It's just bizarre that longer jail terms have been handed out to people protesting than to some drug dealers or violent criminals.
 
jail - If the economic cost of their protest is large(r), so be it. -
how much did the dam bridge stunt cost - I thought large fines were also on the menu.

Well, here we are in a democracy and I will bet you that a huge majority will support this. Is that not democracy.

And as for the second one, I have no idea what you're suggesting. Arson and GBH would get non-custodial punishments as long as you were protesting?
