Decent crossfire review though minimum fps on pretty much all cards are all over the show in some games.

Yeah, if its a new Nvidia card thats having problems on release drivers, they always say, im having this prob, that prob, but it'll be better in time, once the drivers mature, so im not bothered, but an AMD card on release drivers, its gah, this is bloody crap this, this prob, that prob, im sending it back for a <insert Nvidia card here>.

Only because we know we will get regular drivers and not just when they are ready

Amd cards haven't overclocked well in quite some time, 290 series you pretty much top out at 1150 to 1200mhz if you're lucky, probably on proper water cooling to achieve that as well. Not much of a fan of clocking gpu's myself as the gains are generally pretty small for much more fan drone. I generally just wait for driver optimizations in games to get performance up.

That being said id assume Joe Macri knows what he's talking about, i'd be very surprised if the cards were crap clockers even with voltage adjustments.

I mean wheres the fairness in that, Ti's had about 9 months worth of drivers, the FX hasn't had any yet, as its only been out a week, its still on its release ones.

Ha, however there is a literal buzz that is present with the Fury.

To be fair the reason the owners thread is a bit dead is because there's no stock.

I think it was nice to try one, now I've got silent case fans and PSU. This whiny noise is really starting to annoy me so it has to go lol.

Might pick one up again in the future when this pump issues is well and truly fixed.

That's because nvidia are awesome, it is the cool card to own didn't ya know? Owning an AMD card is like owning a Moto G, while your friends at school have iPhones and point and laugh at you. Lol

Agreed! Problem is this is AMD, give it a month and I would not be surprised if we are still on the same drivers.

If the Titan has gone m8 then I seriously recommend the MSI or the G1, fans stay off til 60c with this G1 and it's a dream when watching errrrrrr movies/tv etc

I don't mind a little noise when gaming as I wear a headset, but it's not like it makes much noise anyhow!!! :cool:

edit - Currently sitting at 38/39c at idle, but my front case fans are a bit crap and on 5v anyhow! They need an upgrade, this heat wasn't expected

I'm sorry Fury X. I really tried to make it work, you look so nice and your really cool, but.. You just don't stop whining. I thought at first things were great, I defended you from others who said you whine to much.. I even changed things up to suit you better in your new home. That just made the whining worse..

I thought I could live like this, but now I realise I can't.. I knew things had to change when I went into the lounge and I could still here you whining from the bedroom.. Even when I'm outside in the garden I swear I can hear the whining ringing in my ears..

I think it's time to move on.

I've got a Passive PSU and now the Fury X is so quiet it's made me realise how loud my other case fans are

Ordered 3 replacements for H105 and rear 120mm.

No idea if they are any good but they were nice and cheap and 3 Pin so can add them to front fan control and hopefully have silence.

I think getting the new fans was the mistake, my old fans were masking the pump noise.

Hence 'I even changed things up to suit you better in your new home. That just made the whining worse..'
