The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

It's relevant because if Fury X has AF enabled and TX/Ti don't then it would explain the massive discrepancy in performance.

yes, but surely it can have its own thread. nvidia cheating has nothing to do with fury x owners, does it? does it change fury x benchmark scores? no.

Been asking for screenshot, but credit to Greg he doesn't want to be involved in this..

Lets look at another user, claiming his old screenshots on a 780 shows the same thing. So DP would you like to be the first user to head to that point and take a screenshot?

Regarding the white lines next to the kerb, looking back through some old screenshots from last year when I was running a 780. They look very much the same as the image above for the tx.

I don't own the game and I run an AMD 6970M so can't really show what a TX looks like, send me a TX and I will glady buy the game and gets some screen shots up though.

Does it run at 650mhz? ;)

no, even at 585Mhz firestrike is artefacting. at 600Mhz that artefactings was to the point where I stopped the test. I ran 585Mhz just to shut some people over some internetz talking crap on how hbm clocking is just an illusion. It clearly is not, but also it is not as straight forward as we would like it to be. But I have faith that with voltage unlock we might give some juice to hbm as well. Afterall it is hynix chips. And hynix DDR4 chips respond to voltage very nicely.

P.S. I do understand that ddr4 is not the same as HBM :P

It's obviously some kind of AF issue which Gregster overlooked, I'm more interested in why the Fury seems to be exhibiting black crush.. does it occur in normal usage or is it a capture issue?

Just look at the gun, grey and detailed on Titan, a black mess on Fury.

Greg did say he messed with the colour on the FX.. Maybe he over done the brightness level? maybe the FX is set on RGB full but the capture device is running RGB limited..

You correct though his black level is abit off in that shot needs tweaking a touch. But in also saying that the TX black level is way to high also.. Shadows are just lacking detail and shouldn't be that gray. In fact the FX level is more closer to being correct than the TX.

No offence but honestly who gives a ****.

my physics score is nearly double, yet the overall score is just a bit higher. Granted I ran it with stock core clocks ;)

Yeah don't get too excited you should see my other CPU :p

I am not. I don't game fire strikes, so it was just interesting to see how not important the cpu is in that benchmark ;) Also my 5930k is clocked very mildly compared to other more experienced and gifted overclockers around ;)

Touchy! Wasn't replying to you so............ YEAH!

You can see my point though? There could be all manner of reasons it may even be something to do with NVAPI, but the point is - it's really not big a deal. You're not going to notice it when you're gunning people down.

It's pretty important! 1080p FS is very Physics score biased compared to the higher tier tests :). Give the i5 some love :p

Its something I find very interesting has to why detail is missing on the TX.. Like I said very early on that this could very well be a setting Greg has enabled in the drivers over ridding the game.. Its looking more than likey this is the case, or a Bug with TX in BF4

Point one - NVAPI has nothing to do with this again this was Captured by an external recording device. Not SP not any Software!

Point two - what ever the case maybe least its pointed out and something that could be fixed.. Why ignore something that is clearly not how it should be?

I did ask that this thread be left for the owners and to discuss Nvidia AF and other bits in a different thread. I am also interested in what people think, as I literally just installed the drivers on the FX and adjusted the colours to my liking but never touched those on Nvidia when switching over.

I will start a new thread and people can discuss it as much as they like. I also agree that something looks up with the kerb line distance and it isn't something I did, so must be at driver level or something else that I don't have a scooby on.

Anyways, Review is now being done for those interested :) Some might be surprised

Am fine with leaving this, thread alone I did try moving this onto another thread! Anyways I'll be an owner very soon as stock is available.

Look forward to the review :D
