The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Because the settings were already selected. If the settings are already set then you can escape the screen quicker by selecting no.

If no settings are changed it doesn't ask you to save.

But it looks like you guys have made up your minds that its nvidia up to no good again. Cant possibly be anything else can it :D

They'd be *mad* not to update them for the Fury (non-X) release on the 14th...
yes the 15.150 drivers are for the X, then there are 15.200 for the non-X and likely future 15.300's later on - perhaps for the X2 - these or some official "omega" release might be. the ones you are looking for but improvements will come with each drop/beta/leak.

And win10 will have some releases too - two probably - one for r9 3xx/fury and one for all the older cards.

These 15.20s, are being held back until Win 10s released.

AMD is releasing a two-phase driver release with Catalyst 15.15 and 15.20
. The 15.15 drivers are available immediately, and the 15.20 drivers are coming a few weeks later.

The Catalyst 15.15 drivers bring new features like:
FPS Targeting - The ability to save power by setting a maximum FPS target
Virtual Super Resolution - The ability to down scale a game from a high
resolution to a lower resolution, giving a user higher-quality textures in game
(also known as supersampling)
Performance optimizations:
Adding game performance optimizations to AMD R9 Fury Xand other graphics cards.

Although Catalyst 15.15 drivers will not be available for Windows 10, Catalyst
15.20 will be.
The Catalyst 15.20 drivers will bring features like:
Catalyst Uninstaller:Allows users to uninstall their AMD catalyst drivers
cleanly, so new drivers can be installed without incident.
OpenCL 2.0 optional features.
Multiple performance and feature additions
FreeSync + CrossFire:The ability to run FreeSync dynamic screen refresh
technology with multiple GPUs in CrossFire mode.

Catalyst 15.20 divers will also have Windows 10 specific features like:
HEVC(High Efficiency Video Codec):Enables quality streaming and 4K
experiences
DirectX 12:Support for the low-level efficient graphics API for Windows 10
Windows 10 WHQL(Windows Hardware Quality Lab)

AMD’s latest driver release (15.20) will be WHQL and WHQL for Windows 10 as well

DP needs his eyes testing then :D it's very clear to see what GPU is outputting a more higher detailed images..

It's night and day difference.. But what I do know is messing with LOD does show quite massive gains in frame rate.

You should head back to page 88 or 89 and have a look at the imgur album i posted. You will then see why i cant make any sense of the Titan X results cause im clearly not suffering from it on my 980ti.

Found the album and those images appear how they should. The white lines are clear and well defined even in the distance. So it does not appear you are suffering from that particular issue. Phixsators 980ti album

Were these taken on the latest drivers? Still need someone with a TX to test since it could be an issue with the TX.

Also, were your drivers at default when taking the pics?

Would be nice to have someone with a Fury X or another AMD card to compare with at the same locations.

It's obviously some kind of AF issue which Gregster overlooked, I'm more interested in why the Fury seems to be exhibiting black crush.. does it occur in normal usage or is it a capture issue?

Just look at the gun, grey and detailed on Titan, a black mess on Fury.

The gamma looks completely different in both screenshots. It is likely a capture issue or that the video was taken after some adjustments in NVCP to gamma that may have been overlooked.

Pretty sure Gregster stated he had adjusted the Fury Color settings. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. IMHO it is a case of the default AMD BF4 profile having AF enabled and the Nvidia one having it disabled. Looking at the default BF4 profile the AF setting is defaulted to App controlled.

Anyone can see that the issue looks exactly as if AF is disabled on the TX.

Not quite anyone. I think someone was suggesting the TX screenshot was exhibiting superior AF.
