The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Go troll elsewhere.. This is a furyx owners thread not a let's bash furyx owners thread.

I was simply pointing out a fact. Fury is not a bad card it's just outclassed.

There's been at least 100 members post in this thread and only 10 or so owners according to the owners list. I don't see your name on the list either and your post offered nothing of value to the topic.

So i don't get why Reviewers have the performance of it so low.

Because when it was reviewed it was running on older drivers dude.

It's had a new driver since then, I can only imagine that it's sorted it out. Problem is? you only get one review... Obviously the main focus of any driver set right now is GTAV and Witcher. Batman? gawd, it runs like dog crap. I'm lucky to get 30 FPS in that and it was no better on my Titans. It's literally unplayable at 4k but then it's broken and it'll be months before they fix it.

Glad I didn't pay for Batman I would be super annoyed right now. I might try dropping the res to 1440p later :)

BTW I forgot to post my settings for Pcars. On the benchmark you have I had it at medium on everything but high detail and ultra particles and MSAA. Since then I changed that to FXAA with high everything and I got..

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
2706, 60000, 38, 59, 45.100

So basically no difference. I must say I can't really see any improvement in dash cam. It looks about the same to me

Mind you it's a stunning game :)

Im thinking about it, there's also the fact that its a £1k outlay for 2 of them as 1 will be a bit slower than a 295x2 depending on the game. So it doesn't make much sense just to get one for a sidegrade for the most part and an upgrade in the games that crossfire doesn't work.

Yes but you pretty much eliminate stutter and get a much better overall gaming experience. TBH right now I am loathe to go dual GPU again. I really, really don't want to. I will do what I have to with settings just to keep to the one card.

Point is I will be an owner come mid next month when more stock should be available.. You won't because you not interested one bit..

All you interested in is posting junk no one cares about.
Furyx and 980ti both over the advantages and disadvantages.. So go and create a new thread just for your forum trolling on just how good the 980ti is...

No one here cares now jog on.
Nice multi quoting Shanks! :D

:D epic

OK cheers.

Well I decided to play GTAV for a bit and hory chet I could not believe how much better it is ! I'm actually seeing 60 FPS now ! For the most part it sat in the high 40s and low 50s even in the peeing rain with the sun coming out. As soon as that was over the game sits jammed at 60 FPS.

I would say it's easily at least 10% faster than my Titan Blacks in GTAV. Very, very impressed, I really can't believe it's only one card.

And micro stutter is completely gone. For a minute I thought I had some input lag, then I realised that the front left wheel on my car was jammed and had no tyre on it lmao. What a sop ! /facepalm.

Amazing card. It really is amazing at 4k.. Now, to play Wolfenstein : The old blood, which did not support 4k at all so run like ass on one card at 4k.

I'm with you on GTA V at 4k, I was completely shocked how amazing game looks at 4k, and it runs like a champ on xfire as well

Right, it will get another chance with the Fury-Nano review, unless reviewers do what they did with the 290/X, reviewed successive cards and kept adding the release driver tests to reviews, when the 390/X was released it became a showcase to how much the drivers had improved over time, "oh look at that Hawaii isn't miles behind Maxwell afterall....."

Well thats a first, i whacked my fan manually up to 70 in AB, and it worked this time (as i just run it on auto), where as donkeys ago when id tried setting a manual fan speed in it, it all went boobies up, and i ended up having to remove my drivers, and reinstall them again to get everything back to normal. :p

C'mon guys, it doesn't matter what is faster and so long as whoever owns whatever card is happy, that is all that matters surely?

Well going by most of the reviews, at my res of 1440p, theres nothing in it mostly, couple of frames or so, yeah the odd game might be showing quite a few more, but thats always been the case hasn't it between them, some games favour Nvidia more, some AMD.

Agreed...
They both offer there own reasons to own either card.. Faster doesn't always mean better..
So what if ti is 5 fps faster like you would notice it lol
But you would notice 50c vs 80+c

Yeah but some people in this thread seem to have problems with Fury X owners/buyers and are posting with an agenda. Most of this thread feels like Nvidia users bashing Fury X/ AMD whilst the 980Ti thread is much different.

Fury X is the world best card.
Its new tech and it wont grow old and lag behind like nvidias tech with kepler and soon Maxwell.
anyone with half a brain understands that.

I'm buying a FuryX to run at 1440p as soon as stock becomes plentiful and it's confirmed the whine has been solved. Then I will buy a 2nd one shortly after and run them on a 27" Freesync 1440p 144hz screen as I figure I can DSR to 4k if I feel like it too.

After reading the initial reviews I was skeptical but after reading a lot of users stating happiness with the performance but overwhelmed by the fact it runs so cool and quiet I'm sold.

So what if it's 5fps slower than another card, when your running Freesync or gsync at 1440p your probably averaging enough to be in the sync range of the game so more fps is negligible at that point and only serves a purpose to make someone feel a bit superior while gaining zero actual real world benefits whatsoever.

Too much emphasis is placed on higher fps, if your running a 1080p screen then your buying the wrong card, and it's been shown at 4k the FuryX trades with the top Nvidia stuff, me at 1440p most are using Freesync or gsync screens now and if your in the sync range fps becomes somewhat irrelevant as long as you maintain the sync range

Whats your setup and your temps? Interested in how the Fury X AIO compares to a proper custom loop.

GPU is around 3 degrees above water temperature which typically doesn't exceed 37 degrees, so the GPU will stay under 40, with the AIO it was sitting around 46-47, I could keep my water around 30 though if I turn the fans up, especially if the air temperature is low, not sure as to how fan control works on the AIO, whether its controllable and how high it was set on mine.

I use a 360 and a 280 radiator with 3 gentle typhoon and 2 noctua industrial.

Edit - With fans at 90% the GPU core will hold 30 degrees C, assuming an air temperature of 20 degrees C,
this is fairly loud though as I designed this system to cool around 800 watts.
