The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

I'm not sure they saved money going with Coolermaster; I think it was more about brand recognition. How many know of Triton; compared to how many know the name Coolermaster ?

There is a flaw the the some of the pumps which is a shame - but they will be sorted; I have a feeling next month we'll see a lot more stock as I have a feeling its a combo of waiting on fixed pumps; and short supple of interposers has held back the supple.

Still fail to see why you cant discuss these things without raging?

We all wanted a great AMD card, it didnt happen, we are allowed to talk about things.

Granted, there are people trolling but its pretty much like that on every forum in existence.

There is another Fury x thread here. Please do those discussions over there all you want. Leave this thread to owners.

Or rename this thread 'discussion' and let the couple of owners start another thread? Lot less work :D :p

This did make me laugh and pretty fair :D

You are correct though Reece and it should be for the owners. I am disappointed in both sides in fairness, as it just looks like a fanboy war from both sides. Anways, enjoy bud and I am missing the quiet cooler of the Fury X and this is prompting me to put my waterblock on my TX.

The law in the USA states (and I'm pretty sure it's the same here in the UK) that if some one assaults you (punches you) then you have every right to fight back with equal or greater force in self defense.

As thus, I don't blame the AMD crowd (call them fanboys if you must, Greg) for defending themselves. Sorry, I just can't do a mother thing and say "You're both as bad as each other, you know !"

It's just all out disrespectful, but how could you expect any different when the company these people adore is pretty much the same? just pure trash talk 24/7.

There's no defending trolls, Greg. People who set out in life with a deliberate purpose to do nothing but going around upsetting people. It's not on. Not here, not on Facebook, not on Twitter and so on.

The sooner people realise that and have a little respect the better this place will be. Me? I'm still on the fence, spending much of my time on other forums ATM with the odd visit and post here.

So the 980ti is faster. We know that, and, we didn't care.

I'm no fanboy. Please, don't tar me with that brush. Some one said yesterday to practice what I preach?

So you see, that is the difference. I'm.not.a.fanboy. I hate Intel, I have an Intel CPU. I've hated Nvidia from day one, I've had countless GPUs from them. If I feel some one should buy a 980ti I will tell them to.

We're not stupid and we can read and write as well as each other, so we pretty much know how things stand and don't need constant reminding.

I am on 3:30am and 4am starts all this week, so pretty tired but I don't think rubbishing a particular brand of GPU is classed as assault lol. I find it funny (I genuinely do) that people do get upset because someone rubbished their choice of GPU and even funnier when someone gets upset even though they don't own that particular GPU. I consider my hardware as a hobby and not anything else. I play games a lot (probs too much) but I buy what I do for the entertainment factor and nothing more.

Troll comments are more and more now and it is bad from both sides. In the olden days, we just ignored them but now everyone is an eggspert :D But by the by, I strongly believe in an owners thread is for owners and for those people to discuss what they can and can't do, BIOS's, clocks, basically anything to do with their choice of GPU and I never consider it to be a place for trolling.

I've recommended and owned AMD many times before that doesn't make me a neutral.

This forum is basically full of 4 types of people:

AMD fanboys (some of which are by far the most dedicated imo)
NVidia fanboys (myself included, though I dislike how the hardcore AMD fanboys carry on more than anything)
People who go out of their way to pretend to be neutral but have an obvious bias nonetheless (it's impossible not to imo)
People who simply don't care (these people usually don't post much anyway as they too busy actually enjoying their choice of GPU by playing games - not benchmarking them and making performance based videos to post here)

Without fanboys the forum would be pretty stale imo, as we'll find out when AMD eventually go under and there's a heaven's gate style event. :p

Calling for censorship always happens on here when one side doesn't have any good arguments and it's all a bit one-sided.

Did you order from OC? I've just had mine delivered, but the tape on the outer box and the seals on the inner box have all been broken already. A little worried it's already been returned.

I hope for you it's not one of the four I've returned, each of them ordered from four different retailers so...

Which brand is it? The four I returned were: Powercolor, Sapphire, Asus and MSI.
