The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Im not gona bother trying it, as too much faff on getting it in, i got to take both my case side panels off, so i can find where the rear fans connected so i can unplug it, then ive got to feed the wire through so i can remove it, then ive got to squeeze the pump in its place, and then i'll have to do it all in reverse to get the bugger back out. :(

Notify the retailer that the screw is missing so they're aware and ask them where you stand on returning the product. (if you decide to do that after/before using it)

Yeah i'll give them a ring.

Was it factory sealed, or pre-opened like that chap's one earlier on?

That’s a shame. If the one I have ordered is bad, think I will give up and keep the card I have until the next shrink.

It's not in box is it loadsa?

Does look a little too pristine to be a return. Is there marks on the pcie connector ?

Still, maybe for the best. I think my curiosity would have got the better of me though ;)

Looks pristine though, no dust or anything on the fan, doesn't look like its been span or anything, card and rad were in their plastic bags, no finger marks, nothing, even the PCI-E connector is pristine, definitely hasn't been plugged into a slot.

Its just if it goes wrong, im screwed (pardon the pun :p), as with that hex being missing, they could think ive opened it up and been inside it.

:(

What an anti climax. Totally gutted for you. Its clearly not acceptable and ridiculously daft but I can only hope it's happened because they have had their pumps changed over and the person who has done it has done a rush job. :(

If it was me personally I'd keep it, order another, pinch the screw and return the 2nd card. :o:D;)

Does it effect warranty/ RMA's etc to remove the hex screws so we can see if there's a pump revision doing the rounds? No doubt there's an answer out there already.:p

Well you can take the plate off, and 3D print a new one, as AMD said they'd like to see designs, but you'll have all screws, so if it ever went wrong, you could just replace the default plate and RMA it.
