The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

It seems the Fury X is interfering with my Blue Yeti microphone.

A few people in Skype told me the static was insane.

I managed to borrow an old AMD 4850 and I took out the Fury X as that's the only thing that's changed with my system as of late and the static stopped.

Put the Fury X back in and boom static sound is back.

Apart from sending the Fury X back as I talk to clients a lot via Skype is there anything that can be done ?

erm, firefox did buy a FuryX, he also had a 295X2, he does also have a HDMI2.0 TV and kept asking about how to get the 295X2 working... how is he trolling if he's a little bit upset to hear the same thing being bandied about now as when he bought the 295X2

If we get him together with the other survivors there may be enough for a support group :D

Seriously though, it's a pain in the arse for the few effected but they seem to have focused solely on performance which is what the majority of users wanted. Kinda thinking they must be spread pretty thin given their fall from grace over the last half decade. Wouldn't hold out on that cable mind, I think they are waiting for one of those chinese back shed developers to come up with some amazing adapter like they do for everything else ever made, ever. That was a bit ******, they should have just said. Sorry, no support this gen.

We fixed an issue with Skype in a updated 15.7.1 driver just the other day. Might be worth uninstalling 15.7.1 and downloading the newer version from www.amd.com/drivers.

The Asus R9 Fury is unlockable to a Fury X,plus it can apparently be overclocked more than other cards?? It does have the best performance/watt of all the Fury and Fury X implementations too,so probably looks like the best one to go for.

The ASUS fury cooler is ****, just like their DUII cooler was. Such a shame really.
Although many Fury can be unlocked, similar to how some 290 could to 290X, and the famous 6950 - 6970

Is this confirmed? Link? If true it's a very good option for those waiting for a revised X pump :)

Hence the question marks!! According to that link the card was unlocked.

It does also have the best performance/watt of any card too,so it makes me wonder what a third party water cooler do.

the performance per watt is because it's cut down and underclocked though surely?
unlocking and overclocking to FuryX levels will see it right back at the same perf/watt as a FuryX
