and wow, a 860w power supply can run 2 fury tri-x!
AMD did a really good job on power saving on these cards compared to R9 2xx/3xx series.

78 is my max as well, It seems to top out at 78 because once it hits 75 it speeds the fans up to cool it down. It seems to take 3 degrees for the fan increase to have an effect and make the temps drop back down. That's great news if it's no different in crossfire.
It's good too see someone who's as regimental about cabling as me

I was a bit dubious at first, thinking id need more, but runs them fine
78 is my max as well, It seems to top out at 78 because once it hits 75 it speeds the fans up to cool it down. It seems to take 3 degrees for the fan increase to have an effect and make the temps drop back down. That's great news if it's no different in crossfire.

Mine seem to do that, once they get to 78, they just drop back down to around 70 again, before going back up, and it just repeats, hit 78 again, drop back, and does that constantly, they just won't break 78, no matter what i throw at them, and they stay quiet, my top cards fans only go to around 45%, and my bottom cards stay under 30%, and thats just on the deafult auto fan, no need to set up manual profiles.
I still can't get over that they are both cooler and quieter than my single 290X, which hit 88 on a manual fan speed of 80%

Not too long ago I had a Silver Arrow and had the same thing, where it just about touches the back of the top GPU.
Getting the GPUs out was always a pain for me.
How do you find removing GPUs and what method do you use for releasing the PCI-e tab?

Wooden ruler was a godsend with my Twin AC Extremes.

I used a wooden knitting needle, worked ok, but was always scary that I'd slip.
Oh and then there's the inevitable (for me at least) re-securing of the PCI-e tab as you tried to pull the card out...

Couldn't say yet, as had my old card in the 2nd PCI-E slot.

The shield on my Sabertooth took care of any slips and the tabs weren't a hassle, was an absolute nightmare removing the gpu's before I thought about the ruler, once it's on the tab you twist it ever so slightly and it covers more tab surface(if you know what I mean).

I've said for some times now that the performance seems on par at 1440P, at least in the few games i've tried.

Is there any way to control the FAN speed on Fury X as in make it spin slower when Idle as the ''humming'' is getting to annoy me slowly as it is the loudest humming in the pc?
EDIT: after all I might have a faulty card..?? This is my 2nd Fury X from Sapphire (1st was rmaed due to severe corruptions), only had it maybe 2 weeks and today I got the first corruption. This is ridiculous. First Fury X I got was exactly the same however the corruptions were there since minute 1 - on this card it`s first time in two weeks? Should I RMA it? Running the BETA newest drivers atm

Did an RMA and its already on its way to ocuk again. Last night it all went south as the coil started to wine like hell.
Let`s hope the THIRD fury X will be absolutely flawless or I`ll be considering something else maybe even nvidia..
UPDATE: this is funny because i had trouble viewing 1080p videos, even when they loaded on youtube there was a weird stutter in them sometimes even not watchable. Now with the card out of the pc it runs as smooth as a butter and I was pulling my hair out as to what was going on with it...

This corruption is not due to a faulty card, it is something to do with drivers.
Mine gets this corruption once in a while, but since I have 2 cards, I just pop in into CCC and enable/disable xfire and it all goes back to normal.

Yeah i got it a few times on my old 290X months ago, but it was worse than that, whole screen was just multi coloued lines, and i got it the other day on my Furys (which was first time on them), i just do a CTRL+AL+DEL, which fixes it, then i just press ESC to get back onto my desktop.
