The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Yeah i got it a few times on my old 290X months ago, but it was worse than that, whole screen was just multi coloued lines, and i got it the other day on my Furys (which was first time on them), i just do a CTRL+AL+DEL, which fixes it, then i just press ESC to get back onto my desktop.

Nice one. I will keep Ctrl+alt+del in mind ;)

^ Just shows were not even saturating 2.0 PCI-E bandwidth yet. Two cards could run fine on that and show negligible differences from running the same two cards on 3.0 at 8x8 setup.

This corruption is not due to a faulty card, it is something to do with drivers.
Mine gets this corruption once in a while, but since I have 2 cards, I just pop in into CCC and enable/disable xfire and it all goes back to normal.

well with all due respect I have not paid 600 euro to be getting corruptions like these.

I'm very curious that there isn't more difference. Ofc there are games that have difference, and that difference disappears if you blindly only look at summarized results. Still not as big differences as I expected. Atleast I was expecting more results in Ryse, as if you look at 980 results, there's huge difference there.

Fury X

There could be difference how drivers handle pci-e traffic.

Got my tri-x fury (none x) couple of days ago.

Very impressed so far, a definite improvement over my 970.

Acer xr34 arriving today too...

Quick question, as Fiji is quite new do you feel there's more performance to come from future drivers?

Has anyone had any success mounting a Fury X in a Corsair Air 540 case that already has a 240mm AIO using the top two fan spaces, with 3 x 120mm fans on the intake and 1 x 140mm fan for exhaust (Most. Specific. Question. Ever)? I'm considering one for the next GPU upgrade, and I'm guessing it would mean sacrificing the 140mm exhaust fan, as there would be little chance of just sticking the Fury's rad on the existing exhaust fan in a push/pull config.

To be fair, I know what's wrong with mine.

I have 2 bent pins in the PCI-E slot in my motherbpard (MSI Gaming 5) so I'm more thankful it works at all rather than rue the loss of x16 :)

No idea how I did it, it must have been either taking the 970 out, or more likely, putting the Fury in, as I know my GTX970 ran at x16.

Hi all,

Just thought I`d share this here. Over a month ago bought my first Fury X, installed and straight from minute one there were bad picture corruptions, no matter what I tried always happening. Sent it back to RMA, OcuK confirmed that it was a faulty card and sent me a new one (after almost a month of wait time for it to be back in stock). Second Fury X arrived, installed it and got occasional picture corruptions and really bad coil whine (or maybe pump whine hard to tell), did some testing etc, nothing worked. Spoke to OcuK to RMA again, sent it back. After 4 days of them testing, they could not reproduce the picture corruptions (someone suggested it might be driver related so I could live with that if newer drivers will fix it), and they confirmed the coil whine however - coil whine is normal and want to send the card back. I mean come on - would one really want to pay 600+ euros for a card just to have it whining in the case loudly - I could not live with that. It could almost make a music from that whining. I have asked to have it sent back to AMD / Sapphire but waiting for a reply but I am really hoping someone can do something. This is so unlike OcuK I must say..after 5 years of regular custom I might end up with a loudly whining card..seriously.. :(:( While reading on other forums most of the Fury X`s with coil whine are being replaced. I am sure you could not imagine having it in the case whining all the time. I`m lost for words right now..
