its not my tour, I'm helping run it along with Doyley and a few others. Most of the setting up work has been done by Doyley, I'm helping with all the spreadsheets and data recording.

If you want to join, then all you need to do is go to Play Tournament. Change the search to "Public Courses" and "Most Played Weekly" or do a manual search for PGA Week 2, or week 3 and so on. We are currently on Week 2, although cut off date is tomorrow. Week 3 is already up, a no green grid tournament as its a Major. Play your rounds, then we will take care of entering your scores into our database.

If you send me a friend request, I'll invite you into The Golf Club group in Steam which also has details for each weeks tournaments.

Spent a good few hours with Tony yesterday honing my game and making sure I was hitting the right distances, it seems that windy courses and me need a bit of loving.

I need to make sure I pay attention the whole rount, was -4 yesterday then hit 4 card wrecking holes and managed to finish the game +1 that was after being +5!

Enjoying this very much!
 
Bought this in the end. Very good. Find the online tourny play a bit confusing. It would be so nice if you could set up your own tours between friends. Hopefully that will come eventually.
 
I've just purchased it had a hour on, looks promising, don't like the way when you go for a test swing it don't let you swing straight after.

Penfold game name.
 
Seems ok but was a little disappointed based on some of the praise in the thread. It doesn't really do much that the Tiger Woods franchise hasn't done before and the graphics didn't have much of a wow factor.

That said there is the basis of a good game in here so hopefully with time and an enthusiastic community great things will come of it.

Maybe harsh comparing them to EA though as they are unlikely to have the same resources, and the game has opnly been in development for over a year or so.

It is a problem for them to innovate a golf game when only a controller/mouse can be used to simulate a golf swing.

Just swing back but don't push forward, it's not fully swing.

Ah, that's not a proper test swing though.

Another basic feature they need to add, so you don't address the ball to have a proper practice swing.

Another basic feature missing that is really annoying me is not being able to move the ball position on the tee.
 
I can't believe how much easier this game is using a controller over the mouse & keyboard!!! :eek:

I started playing with the mouse because I've always played golf games that was and thought the controller method was a "cheat" of sorts but the minimal up/down swing compared to a longer motion on the mouse makes a huge difference to my accuracy!!!!!

There is still always one hole that goes pear-shaped for whatever reason (usually my not appreciating the difference the wind makes to the shot!) and then I'm in a right pickle trying to get myself back on the fairway in a reasonable number of shots but it still wrecks my round!!! ;)
 
Tried playing a bit of week 3. Just too hard. Alright driving but the greens are very difficult.

Might have to try something easier for a while.
 
Just picked this up today and been playing, done 3 rounds so far, struggling with my short game, but it is quite rewarding when you get manage a nice clean hole. Currently playing with my Xbox360 pad, not sure if using the mouse will offer more control though.
 
Just picked this up and really enjoying it (im as bad as real life, so it must be pretty accurate). Add me as Kefelac in Steam if anyone fancies a round.
 
No more updates until the game is officially released in a few weeks, so they say. :rolleyes:

Although this is the game I will play mostly during the dark winter nights, unless PES 15 is any good, I'm hoping for a few good tweaks just to make it a bit more interesting.
 
Yeah, I hear what you're saying.

But remember there will be more content added on official release, with bug fixes, tweaks and improvements to come.

This game is a marathon, not a sprint. It isn't a yearly release production.

If you get a few years play out of it with continued updates for £25-, you cant really complain.
