It's basically the Clarkson, Hammond & May show and so close to Top Gear that I'll be amazed if there isn't already a lawsuit in the post. Still, if you like the presenters it's great fun with great cars and really shows how badly the BBC messed up with the first episode of Top Gear mkIII.

Well worth a watch and even worth slipping Amazon a few ££/$$/€€ for Prime if you don't already have it (or just use one of the many offers for a free month).

What do we think the chances are of this working in France if I use the Hola google chrome extension? Works fine for ITV / C4 / C5 but not for BBC iPlayer. I've got a horrible feeling that amazon might be smart enough to block it

Or better yet (for this kind of stuff) a DNS service. I use Unlocator and it works fine. DNS services have the added benefit of not configuring other traffic.

Looking forward to watching this later. It was just mentioned on BBC News. They suggested one challenge of it being internet only is whether enough people would be tempted to go out of their way to watch something online only and pay for it.

The BBC really don't understand modern "TV" habits do they?

Well that is a fair point isn't it? It requires more effort than just turning on BBC 2.
