I recently bought a 4k tv and it was awesome on that!!.... Really really enjoyed that episode and cant wait for the rest! - Not having to wait till a set time to watch it was a bonus too... i like that!!!

This is what I love about Netflix and Amazon. Watch at my own leisure.

Let's hope it holds out when the majority of people (who didn't stay up to watch it, and are at work during the day) start streaming it this evening :D

The thing is that they'll spread the load over the evening, so it probably won't have too many big spikes.

Yes it does but it misses the point that online streaming is certainly the future among the younger generation. I, and most of my friends and family, watch Netflix and Amazon now and rarely watch much actual TV (including Sky).

I'm the same. Between Netflix, Amazon Prime and Sky Go I have more TV than I could ever want. Plus it is without adverts and at my own leisure.

Doesn't help that, especially with Netflix, the quality of these shows from streaming services are also top notch.

Only got to about the 50 minute mark as it was past my bedtime, but did enjoy it a lot.

I had quite liked the new top gear but, to be honest, this did show it up quite a bit.

A few slightly cringey bits, but all part of the package. And an attractive audience member over Clarkson's shoulder throughout was a nice distraction :p

I'm so so glad I got Amazon Prime worth every penny  this new show The GT is simply brilliant :D:D:D even the wife enjoyed it.

I would say Amazon 3 - BBC 0

++ I didn't realise amazon prime tv has so many good shows on it
The Man in the High Castle
Vikings
The 100
Sons of Anarchy
Preacher
The Americans
Bosch
Alpha House

To name just a few

While true don't watch them all too quickly Amazon are quite slow at adding decent stuff, lucifer is OK just wish it was a bit more of the original awesome sound track and style and a bit less 'Castle style goofy detective assistant'.

As for Grand tour, I liked it. Pacing was a bit iffy but I suppose they had some establishing to do and thank god the SIARPC bit has *finally* been killed off.

Just tried watching it and it worked absolutely fine, no need for Hola or anything like that. Assume it's because I created my amazon account in the UK.

Loved it :D

Loved it

Thank god the AWS infrastructure did its job!

mmm it wasn't great at midnight last night, micro pauses every 5minutes. which has never happened on amazon before. its like it ran out of buffer, but then buffered instantly.

however great episode.
what the bbc utterly failed to understand is that all though its scripted its scripted for them, it takes into account how they normal behave and just notches it up.
if the bbc sent the new presenters on some team building and then scripters scripted on the natural interactions, it would have been so much better.

I've also jumped on the reduced price service, it's saved me £10 in delivery charges and an additional £5 discount on another product I've just ordered. That'd make it £44 for the year.... bargain.

Can't wait to watch some 4K goodness on my TV for the first time, hoping for a few explosions so my ambilight lights the room up.

I thought it might take a while to be decent, so I was willing to give it a chance if the first episode sucked.

But I thought it was absolutely amazing, it was really the 'refresh' that Top Gear needed before Clarkson got sacked. I just hope that BBC's Top Gear starts to get good again so we have two decent car shows to watch.
