The Grand Tour

The features are good, but the studio stuff was all cringeworthy.

The track isn't as good either, nor a fan of the professional driver they've got.

The jokes should be more subtle rather than so slapstick.

good entertainment but didn't blow me away

that porsche is incredible. i read in the paper a few weeks ago clarkson demolished his house to build on the land so should be good viewing

Overall I thought it was great. I did get the impression that they were a little nervous during the studio/tent scenes which is understandable as it is such a huge deal that needs to succeed. Playing to an non British audience must be a little intimidating. Hopefully that will disappear over the next few episodes.

Anyone managed to download this as a file and watch later? No broadband at new place yet, but have it at my parents or work. Ideally I want to download it to my phone, then stream to Chromecast. No idea how much data it would use if I used 3G for it??

1121mb download on the best quality.

These online services are really killing it at the moment, TV licence needs to go! The BBC have very little left worth watching these days imo.

The beauty is the fact they are all in competition with each other...Netflix just released The Crown , the most expensive TV ever made...

Black Mirror exclusives...Amazon Prime exclusives....TV is changing and I mostly stream my content now through prime ,Netflix and now Tv :)

I was really looking forward to this, and certainly there was plenty to like, but I just felt it was dragging on a bit. I know it's a "new show" and so I'm sure next week will be better (genuinely thought we were going to get celebrity garbage for a bit, despite having read that it wasn't featuring, so was a bit worried) without the intro stuff. Preferred Chris Harris' roundup of the hyper cars personally, and given that was done well over a year ago at the exact same track, it didn't fill me with the same interest as it could have done. Clearly though, for the majority of people, it'll be new.

Digs at the BBC were good fun (and I'm a great fan of the BBC), and I'm glad to see the humour and chemistry is still there. Disappointed they didn't do a thing with the 3 Mustangs from the intro though.

Content on streaming sites lately have been excellent. I hope they keep it up

I thought it was surprisingly good. TG was built on years of refinement. To get a show up to speed that quickly, even if you do have the trio, can't be easy. I'm expecting it to bed in quite nicely.

I quite liked it, I wasn't expecting to like it, to be honest.

It is what it is, they were never going to change too much. I would say the bigger change should have been on the actual Top Gear show because these three made it what it was, they're never going to change much and the beeb had a good opportunity to revamp a show which was going a bit stale.

I don't compare them to Chris Harris because they're not really comparable in my eyes, these three are more about the entertainment as a package and the odd occasion where there is an unscripted joke.

You know what. The first 5 mins of this I enjoyed, but then it really felt like they were trying too hard. I laughed though, a lot. More than I did with CE on TG, but I wasn't really feeling that. I do hope it gets better though. Felt like they were laying a lot of foundation for this so I genuinely hope it works out for them

Works out more expensive than before though

Loads better than old top gear, no celebrity crap and no stupid challenges

Studio bits were a bit naff but not to worry

Really enjoyed it :) good to see them back on the screen.

You can tell it's going to be more fun than the old top gear and the BBC

Signed up with prime so will test it out for a few months

A couple of cringe segments in the tent, but generally it was them doing what they do which I've always enjoyed.

Looking back there wasn't actually much content for over an hour of show, but I guess a lot of time was setting up the series.

really enjoyed it, Top Gear with a bigger budget. STUNNING camera work yet again.

Watched it at 4K on the Amazon app on my TV, looks amazing.
