The part with the Vulcan was ok, "The American" simply hate him on the test lap.

The army part would have been better if it didn't go on so long. It went from being some stupid amusing fun, to dragging on and became uninteresting.

I'm hoping that its just because these are the early episodes and things will get better.

ep1 was bound to be good they put everything behind it, they put a lot of money behind it but they are going to come back to reality on latter episodes.

It's just not the same, I hate the cut scenes on the show with the funny talk show style gags. The constast America bashing is grating and so is the british masochism where they are pretending to get pelted for sticking up for the royal air force.

We have to bear in mind Clarkson always hated American cars and constantly bashed them. Now he's working for an American company and obviously going to feature a lot of American cars in latter episodes. We'll have to see how this pans out.

Not quite as decent for me either this episode, feels quite stale for what is a new show but then I'm not sure it was ever going to be all that different - will see what it's like over the next couple

First time ever in the history of TG and this that i haven't liked an episode. The Vulcan was stunning but that army bit was so boring :(

You're generalising too much - he hasn't always hated American cars, his dream car is a Ford GT40 - an American car that he spent rather a lot of money to acquire. He hates some, perhaps quite a lot but you can't generalise that - he still gives credit where it is due.

Yeah I think that was partly an excuse for them to play with guns etc.. because they can. It likely cost a fortune thus they made it occupy a big portion of the show... condensing it into a few minutes wouldn't have justified the expense of filming it... though it did indeed feel rather drawn out. I do wonder what the Americans thought of James May being a Republican and shooting the Queen.

seemed ok, a bit boring but worth a watch

i did find the

bit where Jeremy got shot many times a bit sad to watch, there army etc people killed every day its kinda weird to make fun of it.
